Fridge not cold, freezer freezing
Unplug fridge. Remove all items from top shelf of fridge. Remove the two screws holding the control panel to the top of the fridge. Lower unit and unhook it from the rear. Spin freezer knob all the way until you can detach the plastic rod from it. Lower the unit. Unplug the connector of the old timer/defroster. I broke the two plastic pin

Freezer started getting frost
I unplugged the power cord. Then, I removed the housing at the inside-top of the refrigerator by removing the two screws that hold it in place. This exposed the defrost timer. I removed two clips that hold the timer in pace. Then unplugged and removed the old timer, and plugged-in and secured the new timer. Then, screwed the housing
... Read moreback to the top of the refrigerator. Just be careful, I partially broke the tops off the two pins that slide through the timer's body (when attempting to removed the clips that sit on the pins). Not a big deal, as the timer will remain in place without the top of the pins. Next time, I would cut the clips using diagonal cutters.
Sometimes compressor wont come on, temp rises. Once defrost is initiated, won`t come out of defrost mode.
Disconnect power cord from power outlet. Remove 2 screws holding control panel in place. Swing panel down to access timer. Remove 4 wires from timer. Remove 2 clips from timer bracket. Remove & replace defrost timer. Re-install clips. Re-connect wires. Swing panel up and install 2 screws. Plug in power cord, cycle & test operation.
