Hi, the distance between the mounts for this shelf on my refrigerator door is 15.5 inches. From the grid placed under the part it looks like the distance is 17 inches. It would seem this part will not work with my KitchenAid refrigerator. Can you confirm the actual distance between the mounts that insert into the door support bracket for this part? Thanks, Steve

Hi Steve, Thank you for the question. Since the bin does not sit flat on the grid it will not be %100, it is to give you an idea. We do not go by measurements, we use the model number of the appliance. The model number indicates the correct parts for the appliance. Checking the model number you provided this bin is correct.
