Viewed every youtube video on how to remove, none match my model. How do i remove chrome piece at top and bottom of handle? Thank you

Hi Bob,
Thank you for your question. From what I am seeing on your diagram. You have brackets on each end of your cover trim pieces there. You will have to remove those caps. One on the top of the top trim piece, and the second on the bottom of the bottom trim piece. It looks like they are screwed on. Once you remove those caps you will be able to slip the front cover of the trims out and thus reveal the screws that keep your handle in place. Good luck with you repair.

My Kenmore fridge mdl. 106 9430481 handle is a soft rubber covering that has split. Can you specify if this handle is the same and please give the dimensions.

How do you remove chrome caps on top and bottom of handle to remove screws?

Hello Woodrow, Thank you for the question. At the Top and Bottom Underside of the Handle Trim there are end caps held in place by one screw. Once the screw is removed you can remove the endcap so it releases the trim from the door. Once the Trim is removed you can see the screw to remove the handle. We hope this helps!

Can you just replace the rubber on door handles or do you have to replace the whole handle?

Can I paint door handles? The paint is coming off. It has a soft rubber covering.
