NOTE: This part has been updated by the manufacture and now includes both left and right side.
This part works with the following brands: Whirlpool, Admiral, Estate, Inglis, Kenmore, KitchenAid, Roper, Maytag, Crosley, Jenn-Air, Hardwick, Magic Chef, Amana, Caloric & Glenwood.
This part fixes the following symptoms:
First I removed the pantry drawer; then the two crisper drawers and glass shelf. Then I removed the hex screws that held end cap in place. Removal of cap from refrigerator was complicated by the adjustable temperature control - it is loosely attached at the back of end cap and also has to be removed to get cap out. Gentle persuasion accomplishes this. Getting the slider off end cap also a bit difficult. Then I removed the drawer glides. Reversing all steps was fairly easy and the rest of the "fix" went well. I wished that there had been some written directions - or at the very least, a diagram of how all went together. All in all was still cheaper than repair person.

Great graphics on the website helped to correctly idenitfy the required part. Part arrived quickly and well packed. One of the easiest transactions ever!
Really easy - Remove drawers, remove glass shelf and associated support rails, remove drawer slide from old endcap, remove old endcap, reverse proceedure installing new endcap - now the hard part, have a cool softdrink while you carry the old endcap and packing material from the new one out to the trash.By the way - the part got here really fast - thanks for the great service.
Took the food out. A couple of screw removals. Put drawer lid on and then put the screws in. Nothing to it.
Wasn't a big deal. Removed the the shelves and glass immediately above the endcap as well as the large 'goumet' draw. Used a nutdriver to remove two screws. Popped off the old endcap and did everything in reverse. Replaced the long clear goumet draw cover that was still intact. Thanks for making it easy!!!!
took out the drawers and glass shelf and unscrewed the sides took parts for drawer glide off put them on the new part reinstallled saved $110 service cll and $20 on the part!
I ordered the part and it arrived in about 5 days. I removed the two lower crisper drawers and the glass shelf seperating these from the Wide-N-Fresh compartment, to give me room to work. I removed the two screws holding the right side endcap in place. The temperature adjustment mechanism was a bit tricky to remove from the broken endcap and replacing it on the new endcap. Once that was figured out everything fell into place and the lid was snapped into place and worked properly
Receive part in two days. Super fast.Repair was very easy. Whirlpool designs so even the "average joe" can fix it. Took abour 20 minutes to repair. Even with no directions.
I removed the pantry door, the pantry drawer and the glass shelf above the pantry drawer. I removed 2 screws/bolts from the left side end cap and removed it. I simply installed the new pantry end cap with the 2 screws/bolts and tightened them snuggly. I then replaced the pantry drawer ...installed the glass shelf...reinstalled the pantry door and that was it...the wife took over after that
disassembled drawers, cleaned drawers, reassembled drawers
Removed three screws and removed endcap LH and screwed sliding shelf bar two new endcap and reinstalled end cap in ref.
First I removed the two vegetable bins. I then removed the glas top shelf from the pantry and removed the pantry drawer. There were 3 screws that held the pantry end cap to the interior of the refrigerator. I removed the three screws. I then lifted up the front end of the end cap allowing it to snap free. I then snapped the new end cap in place and reinstalled the screws. The rest was just reversiing the drawer installations.
Ok..way easy and as my kids would say "easy breezy lemon squeezy"! Even a chick can do it with the right tools! Shipping was fast, replacement part inexpensive and life now much less frustrating when all the fridge parts works!! Took out three screws, took off right drawer slide, lifted the glass on top used socket for remaining two screws and voila, reversed the steps and all was done.
The hook is part of the end cap so I replaced the end cap. The drawers and glass top came out easy. At that point the end cap was removed. It is held in place by 3 screws. Very simple job.
First, let me say that it only broke because a teenage house guest that didn't know how to open the lid, yanked on it.I, the lady of the house, repaired it myself. I took out the wide pantry drawer, the two smaller drawers and 1 glass shelf, unscrewed the glider rail (2 screws), unscrewed the old panel (4 nuts). Put the glider on the new panel, screwed the new panel on, put the shelf and drawers back. No Problem. Thank you.
