Is a circuit board the same thing as an electric control? Is it unusual for this part to fail after one and a half years?
Hello Christine, thank you for your question. Electronic controls are sometimes called circuit boards, control boards, ERC's, EOC's, ect. It isn't that unusual for boards to go bad relatively quickly. If you would like for us to locate the correct parts and repair information we will require the model number of the appliance. Once you have located the model number please feel free to resubmit the question and we will be happy to help you. Look forward to hearing from you!

The problem is half the time the detergent pod is found at the bottom of the tube or in the detergent recess with the door open. Seems the timing of soap dispensing is off and occurs after the wash cycle is over of just at its end. Does this part control that function? Could one just replace this part and if it is the problem fix the problem described. The dispenser part is new, the turbidity sensor is new and the machine is clean and 28 months old.
For model number WDF760SADB2
Hello Ronald, Thank you for your inquiry. Yes this part controls the soap dispenser. I would also check the wiring as well. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, there are YouTube videos available to assist you. Hope this helps!
