I removed the cover over the light bulb in my whirlpool hood. There is a florescent light bulb that is not functioning. I assume the light bulb is out. How do i remove it? And is there any other potential cause for the light to not function in a 4 year old hood.
For model number GXW7330DXS1
Hi Johnathan,
Thank you for your inquiry. In most cases it is the bulb. It could be the light switch or the socket. To remove the light bulb you should just be able to unplug it from the socket. Good luck with your repair.

I am having a very difficult time removing the light bulb. I am trying to pull it out of its socket but the bulb is not moving. What am i doing wrong??
For model number GXW733ODXS1
Hi Chris, thank you for the question. You may need to grab the light bulb from the base, not from the glass, and pull it out from the socket. We hope this information helps!
