This lower rack wheel kit includes 8 wheels and 8 axles that allow the lower dishwasher rack to slide in and out smoothly. If your dishwasher door will not close, is noisy when operating, or the dishes are not cleaning properly, you might need to replace one or more of the wheels. Each wheel and axle are made of plastic, and fit into one another so they can be clipped on to the lower dishwasher rack. Many of our customers found this repair to be quick and easy, and the only tool you should need to complete the repair is a pair of pliers.
This part works with the following brands: GE, Hotpoint & Kenmore.
This part fixes the following symptoms:
Couldn't have been easier. First, I inserted the wheel axles into the 8 wheels I bought. Then I just pushed them into place enough so that the clips on the wheel axles locked in place. The whole thing took 5 minutes. No tools necessary. Anyone can do it.

I pulled off the old rollers and studs and pushed out the old studs and replaced with the new ones. Then I popped the new studs and rollers back on. Job completed and it has been wonderful. The new studs are much more industrial like than the ones that came on it. What a relief.
Simple enough to remove the existing dishwasher shelves . . . then tweak off the old axles and rollers and replace them with the new ones. Trying this yourself? Don't be dismayed at first if the parts you just bought aren't exactly the same configuration as the ones you pulled off! The new configuration axles secure just fine with a little thought and pressure in the right places. Last word: The parts were received in just two DAYS after the order. Now the dishwasher shelves are gliding like the day we installed it!
I ordered a set of 8 studs and rollers as recommended in some of the other reviews. First, I inserted the stud into the wheel PRIOR to putting the set on the rack. This was a simple repair and makes all the difference in the world for a stay at home mom who runs the dishwasher twice a day.
Just snapped the stud roller through the center of the wheel and then attatched it to rack.
Install the rollers on the studs first, then snap the assembly onto the tray. Really easy.
Removed the lower rack. Took off the old wheels. Put the axles on the new wheels which took a little manpower, but became easier once you did a couple (there are 8 wheels). Then snapped the new wheels on the rack which was really simple. The new design is much improved to the old one. The wheels glide better, then they ever did. We're sorry we didn't think of this repair years ago and the cost was a fraction of the cost of a new dishwasher.
VERY EASY TO REPAIR, JUST PUT ON WHEELS AND MKE SURE THEY ARE ATTACHED TO RACK
Installed new lower rack wheel kit
The newly purchased wheels have a little different design and could be installed in a matter of few seconds.
Removed the lower rack and installed new wheels with clips
The wheel kit came with axel's to support them. They snapped in place in seconds. No instructions provided, but installing method was obvious.
I had no problems at all. The old wheels had already fallen off. All I had to do was put the wheel axel into the wheel and slip it over the wire support for the wheel. No fuss - no muss - no problems. The only problem I had with this repair was trying to find the wheels and axels for the job. None of the supply houses around here had them and no one was offering where I could find them. Sooo, I went on line, found your ad, pulled it up, input my model number and lo and behold -- there they were. Thanks.
Removed the old wheels and studs. Pressed on the new studs and wheels. Viola.
The best money I've spent on a repair. Easy. The lower rack now rolls in and out smoothly.
