I unplugged the fridge, removed the face plate on the front, disconnected the power feeds, unscrewed the electrical panel and moved it out of the way.I then dismantled and removed the broken part and installed the new part. I was able to use the rest of the existing parts to get the job done.I put everything back together, and voila! it works great.

I removed the Ice door front cover on freezer door. Found door pivot was broken. I installed door pivot bracket, and dashpot in kit. I used most of the kit to repair it. The door now works like new. Thanks for the right parts Frank
Un snap the front cover panel removed two screws removed one more screw removed broken part replaced with new parts replaced screws snapped on new front panel and was done now no more ice build up in ice shoot from out side air. my 17 year old son could have done it. very easy repair.
I killed the power to the fridge on my breaker box before I started the repair job. I popped the dispenser panel off by slipping two screwdrivers(one in each slot on the bottom of the panel). Then I removed two screws on the wire panel beneath in order to get to the ice door chute. (Take a mental note of how all the parts are positioned that you must replace.) I had to remove the pin in the ice door lever, then I replaced the spring and the ice door(flapper) with the new ice door support (timed release closure). The new ice door support doesn't require the white shroud that existed on the previous part. The most difficult part of this repair was having the patience to deal with the wire panel dangling in the way, and trying to contort myself in awkward positions to be able to see what I was doing. My hands are large, so it was difficult to maneuver them in order to make everything fit back together. If you have someone to hold the panel up out of the way while you are working, it would be much easier. If you have a short mechanic's creeper chair, it would be helpful!
The repair went pretty easy. You must remove the cover and lift up the electronics to gain access. The instructions were a little vague since the new door/chute didn't have the electric heater wire. I eventually realized that it wasn't needed and replaced the door without further incident. With a new valve in the back, I now have water and ice at the door after a couple year hiatus! Thanks.
Unpluged the unit and removed the front trim ring.removed the old parts and installed the new parts.in reverse order. it took about 12 hour but the dispenser to work but seems to work fine now.
turned off the machine. removed the ice maker door. removed the wiring harness cover. press on locking clips, removed ice maker. disconnect wiring harness. removed three screws from cover and installed on new ice maker. installed in reverse order of removable.
replaced ice flap unit
I called Alpine Appliance Repair out of Laconia NH. Barry came over and handled the rest.
This went together like a puzzle. With the help of the diagram it was fairly easy to do. Most importantly I ordered the part in the morning and it was there the next day without even paying overnight delivery...very impressed!
To replace front cover and ice door kit I had to check the new cover how it is cliped on the bottom to remove the old cover, but after that it was not very difficult.
