Upper oven element not getting power
Tripped the circuit breaker. Removed the screws holding the panel cover at the top back of the range to access the Electronic Control Board. Took a picture of the ECB showing the wire connectors. Removed 4 screws holding the ECB to the range. Removed all the wire connectors from the ECB. This was the most difficult part of the operation, releasing the connectors from the board. Carefully removed the cover from the old ECB, and applied it to the new ECB. Connected all the color coded wire connectors to the new board, and bolted the board to the range with the 4 screws. Replaced the panel on the back of the range. My wife is real happy to have the upper oven baking again!

The small oven on top did not heat up
I pulled the range away from the wall to gain access to the back.I turned off the power to the range at the circuit breaker panel. I unscrewed all little screws on top of back plate then removed it carefully.I took several pictures on the connections to the ECR board.I watched a video on You Tube which was helpful. The difficulty was getting the connectors off without breaking them. By carefully putting the edge of the flat blade screwdriver under each connector and twisting it gently I was able to get this little plastic locking pin to let go.Once this pin unlocked I was able to remove the connector from the prongs on the range. After removing the ECR board I carefully removed the decal from the front of the old board by pushing the edge of a sharp putty knife slowly under the decal. Following the pictures I took I was able to connect the new ECR board connectors properly and re-assemble the board into the top of the range after attaching the decal being careful to line it up properly.Once the range was back against the wall I turned on the power and set the clock then proceeded to test the small top oven which now worked fine.I found the people at at this stie to be very knowledgeable about what parts are needed to fix common problems.

Upper Oven would not heat or broil
Easy enough, hardest part was removing the original wire connectors from the original board. The connectors were on very tightly. It occured to me that it might be cost effective to send the orginal failed unit to a central remanufacturing site for say a $5 or $10 reward. You could include a label and a prepaid shipper to sent there in the boxes you sent me. This would be something a charitable company could do and would result in cost savings all around.

Bottom element not heating
First checked voltage to element and only getting 120 volts.
Checked web site for problem and 23% said heat sensor. Replaced heat sensor and did not fix problem. Replaced circit board and fixed problem. Solder point on relay on back of old circit board was burned. Might could have resoldered but already had new part before we took the old one out. Spent extra $50 and 2 days when should have taken out circit board first.

Do i need to order an entire new panel board if the (upper oven) "cancel" button will not turn off oven? You can hear the beeping to turn off but the oven stays on. Is that the only part/item that would be needed to fix this problem?
For model number MER6755AAB

Hi Barbara, Thank you for your inquiry. You may have to replace the electronic control board, but I would check the touchpad, part number PS11744363, as well before placing an order. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Had both ovens on getting ready to put stuff in, there was a pop noise and it tripped the breaker. Reset the breaker and the display for time and oven temp only shows part of the numbers. Control panel? Or do I need to look at something else that caused it.

When selecting bake, the broiler will come on
For model number MER8875WW

Hi Jeff, Thank you for your inquiry. It is not uncommon that an oven will alternate between the bake and the broil when setting your appliance to bake. However if your bake element just isn't working at all, it could be that you either have a faulty bake element or a faulty electronic control board. You can test your bake element with a multi-meter to see if that is the cause. If it is not though, you might have to consider replacing your electronic control board. I hope this helps!

Top oven, when selecting bake, the broil element will glow red and the bake one never does. I did replace the bake element, but acts the same. Thinking it's the control board. Is it possible to replace the relay on the control board, instead of buying a new control board?

Hello Jeremy, Thank you for the question. Very sorry but the Relays on the board, PartSelect Number PS10066109 are not sold separate from the board its self. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!

Cant start or shutoff top oven
For model number mer6775aaw

Hi Lou, thank you for your question. There are a few parts that could cause this issue in your appliance. First I would say test your elements with a multi meter to see if they are working correctly or not. They should be reading between 0 - 50 ohms to be working correctly. If those three parts are fine however, then the issue may be in your control board. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

I have a Whirlpool electric stove model number WFE520S0FS1 that flashed the E1 F2 or E2 F1. The stove or oven will not turn on at all. We cleaned the back of the brains and it came back on normal for a couple of minutes then it went back into flashing the E and F and will not turn on. What part am I needing to replace?
For model number WFE520S0FS1

Hello Kendra, Thank you for the question. The E1 F2 and E2 F1 Error codes indicates the Control Board is defective and will need to be replaced. We hope this helps!

Switched on lower oven, the lower coil exploded. All the controls lite up and then switched off. The coil had melted in a large part. Thinking it may be the control board. Replaced the lower coil. Oven not heating.

Electronic control board for this range (W10769079A). Is the control board all I need to correct the no voltage to the upper oven element problem? Do I remove a part from my old board to complete the job? Is there a trick to removing the wires from the old board?
For model number MER6755AAW
PartSelect logo
Hello Richard, thank you for reaching out. Check the upper bake element for continuity using a multimeter. If it fails the continuity test, you may need to replace the upper element, part number PS2082040. You can test your oven temperature sensor with a multi-meter to make sure that it is working. It should read 1000 - 1100 ohms of resistance when testing it at room temperature. A faulty temperature sensor, part number PS1570174, needs to be checked before replacing the control board. If the temperature sensor and upper element are working fine, you may need to replace the electronic control board, part number PS10066109. The electronic control board is compatible with your appliance's model. You completely remove your old board and replace it with the new one. The electronic board is connected to the appliances through wires with connectors. Take a picture of the wire connection before removing the old board and then install the new board and connect wire connectors on the board according to previous connections. We hope this solves your problem!

When we turn the bottom on to bake, the broiler element heats up instead of the baking element. Checked baking element for continuity and it is good, thinking the circuit board may be bad.

Hi Keith, Thank you for contacting us. Yes, I would say the same as well. For something like that to be happening it usually is the control board that is the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

My brother was told the lights in his oven (upper & lower) were not working due to a defective mother board. Will replacing the board fix this problem?
For model number MER6755AAB
PartSelect logo
Hello Richard, Thanks for your question. That is a part worth considering; you may also want to test the light switch with a multimeter for signs of electrical continuity. Replace the switch if the switch shows no continuity. Consider checking if the bulbs themselves are blown out as well. I hope this helps.
