Turned off the water. Removed the maintenance cover plate on the back of the refrigerator and disconnected the tubing. Removed the tubing cover plate on back of refrigerator. Removed two screws from filter hosing mount on the inside of the refrigerator and pulled the old tubing out. Simply inserted the new tubing and mounted the housing and reconnected the tubing using plumber’s pipe compound. Then re-installed the cover plates on the back of the refrigerator, installed the filter and turned on the water. It was a very easy install.
after changing the water filter and having no improvement. I went to the next part of the system. Turned off the water supply. I removed the bottom cover in the back of the refrigerator. unscrewed the nuts on the water supply hose from the main supply and the one going back into the fridge. moved to the inside of fridge and unscrewed two screws holding the filter mount and pulled the tubing through. Reversed my steps and the water flow was great . Thanks
Removed water filter and turned off water supply. Remove the metal plate at the rear bottom of refrigerator and the metal plate at the top rear of the refrigerator that covers the exit of the filter housing from the refrigerator. Then disconnected the water supply line and water line from the filter housing mount to the valves that control water to the door and ice maker. From inside the refrigerator, removed the two bolts holding the filter housing and then removed the filter housing and tubing. Reversed the procedure to install the new top filter housing mount with tubing.
Disconnect main water line from behind refrigeratorRemove bottom panel from refrigeratorDisconnect hose from water valveRemove metal hose guard from top left of refrigerator Carefully remove plumbers putty from around filter hose (you will be reinstalling this putty around new hose assembly)Inside refrigerator remove MWF water filter and guard, and then remove two screws holding filter assembly in place (this requires socket set with 4” extension bar)Carefully pull filter hose assembly towards you from front of refrigerator. Once assembly is out remove Styrofoam cover from old assembly and install on new assemblyTo reassemble, simply follow this process in reverse. Good luck
Turn-off water and disconnect main water line to inlet-tube.Removed lower-back panel of the fridge with a screw driver and disconnected the hose with a small wrench to the main fridge water valve. On th top-left, back of the fridge, removed screws to the small plate where the hoses enter for the water filter. In the fridge, removed the water filter, then removed the plastic panel above the filter - it snaps out. There are two screws to remove, then grasp and pull the assembly and hoses out. reverse the process for an easy install.I was not able to put the small plate onthe back, top-left of the fridge back on. It's a tight fit and I didn't want to pinch the lines. Not doing that, though, may limit how your fridge rolls back to where it was, because the lines will stick-out a couple of inches.
as soon as i put the new piece in there was plenty of water for full size ice cubes, which it has not done in 3or4years.i was really glad with the speedy delivery of the parts roy anderson
Follow instructions about not over tightening the filter cartridge. Add the basic warnings about turning off the water and unplugging the refrigerator. You should also have something to wipe up the water that drains from the hose. The cover comes off when you squeeze it together and pull straight out. While you have the refrigerator out from the wall and the lower back cover off, vacuum the coils.
