Glass Cooking Tray

This a genuine OEM microwave cooking tray. It is also known as a microwave turntable or microwave plate. The function of the tray is to hold and rotate food items while the appliance is in use to ensure the food is being heated evenly. This cooking tray is made of transparent glass, and may need to be replaced if the tray is cracked or broken. A broken tray may prevent it from rotating if the three partial circles on the bottom of the tray will not connect to the turntable driver. Charcoal Air Filters

The charcoal filter is used in microwaves to remove food odors from the air. If your filter is damaged or strong odors are coming from your microwave, it is best to replace this part. The only tool needed for this repair is a Phillips screwdriver. First, remove screws at the top of microwave to access the filter. Next, remove filter and insert new filter by pushing it all the way back, so the edges hit the two tabs. The front edge of the filter should rest at the bottom of the cavity. Make sure to replace the grill after installing the new filter. Remember to unplug your microwave from the power source before the installation process. This part is metallic and measures about 12 inches wide and 6 inches deep.

Diode

This diode, or high voltage diode, is used in microwaves. It is an electrical current control device that ensures power flows in one direction and not the other way. If your microwave produces no heat, heats inconsistently, or gets noisy, replacing this part can be the solution. The tools needed for this replacement are a nutdriver, pliers, and screwdrivers. First remove the microwave cover, then remove the old part by disconnecting the small thermostat. Replace with the new diode.
