The small connector flaps broke off so the grille wasn't attached.
With a phillips head screwdriver I removed the screws, which were screwed to the then non-existent grille, at the top of the grille holder, GENTLY popped the new grill into place and replaced the screws. It took about five minutes. As a housewife, I feel that doing these little repair jobs around the house saves my husband time and aggravation. It was all very simple, and I got the ordered part in two days. Fabulous!

Light burnt out and door will not close properly
I had been dealing with a broken vent cover and burned out light for several months. I should have fixed it much sooner if I knew how easy it was. PartSelect.com had pictures of everything I needed and after reading the repair stories I was able to disassemble the pieces necessary and clean them before reinstalling. Very fast shipping also. The vent grille attaches easily with a couple screws. It's weakest point is the plastic tabs which will break and then gravity puts the grill in the doors ways. The light bulbs can be accessed with a hinged glass door (one screw) but be careful they are very fragil and can break off. If they do unplug your unit, get a pair of needle nose pliers and slowly unscrew the rest of the bulb. If you wanting room or you want to clean the grease off, I recommend removing the whole bottom cover from the microwave (7 scews and 2 wire harness clips).

burnt out light bulb
The problem I have with changing the bulb is my microwave is an overhead one and therefore I cannot tip it on its side to easily replace the bulb. I have to drop the lid down and carefully install the new bulb from underneath.

Broken exterior door and handle
This repair was pretty simple. 1. I removed the three screws on the side of the door. 2. With the help of a flat head screwdriver, I pried off the exterior door panel. 3. I removed the glass from the broken panel by lightly tugging on one of the longer sides of the panel. The glass became free to easily pull out. 4. I washed the glass panel with lots of Dawn to get rid of all the grease buildup. 5. Using the same method for taking out the glass panel, I placed the clean glass into the new exterior panel. 6. I placed the handle under the door panel, and screwed it in. (If you are ordering new screws, make sure you order two, we bought 1 thinking we would get to, and fortunately we were able to salvage one of the old screws.) 7. Lastly, I snapped (with force) the door back onto the internal door panel and screwed the nails back in. Voila

A glass fell out of pantry onto glass tray and broke it.
I called the repair/parts number to make sure I had correct parts and the young lady instructed me as to the size of the serving tray; within 48 hours we had the VERY carefully wrapped carton opened and back in the microwave, working perfectly. Thank you. We'll recommend you to our friends!
