WWEF3005KWA Westinghouse Range - Instructions

I use Youtube as a resource for instructional videos. It helps in most cases. This is as simple as you can get so probably not necessary for this repair. I unplugged the oven first. I unscrewed the the element brackets from the inside of the oven, pulled out the element until I could disconnect the wires from either end. I connected the new element to the wires and screwed the brackets to the back of the oven. I plugged the oven back in and tested the repair.

Got new surface element. Unplugged the old element, plugged in the new surface element, turned the stove top on, and it worked! Took less than 5 minutes and I'm pleased! Will probably or the same two so all my elements are nice and new. Great experience.

Two small screws removed from element frame,slid element out. With needle nose pliers, I slid terminals loose from element. Then I replaced the new element in reverse procedure. Quick delivery made things even better.

Cut the range power. Removed the top rear panel. Removed the two burner switch screws. Pulled one wire at a time off the old switch and put it on the new switch. Since the terminal location did not match, it was critical to notice the terminal designation on the old and match it to the new switch. Ex., H1 to H1; H2 to H2. Voila! It worked the first time.

The infinite switch arrived promptly and while not a perfect match fit the range fine. It took me a few extra minutes to figure out the wiring configuration, but it was fairly easy. I was very pleased with Parts Select's service.

I went to partselect.com, watched the video, found the part, but only after calling the phone number, and ordered on the phone. The part arrived within 4 days. I unplugged the stove, removed the racks, unscrewed the nuts at the back plates, pulled the element out, disconnected one side at a time, bending the wires so they would stay pulled out, removed the bad element, connected the new element, slid it back in the holes, screwed the nuts through the new plates, replaced the racks, plugged the stove in, and done. Very easy!

I would have been able to effect the change-out in 10 minutes, but ran into a little problem. I knew that the connections were slip-on, so I tried to be careful not to pull too hard and disconnect them. However, I did not know that where the connection is made is at a 90 degree angle from the burner. So, not knowing this, I disconnected one of the electrical lines. Not good!. However, I figured it could not be too far from the hole, so I got a pair of forceps I use for my model railroading, and fished around an got a hold of it. Just be aware that the connection may NOT be straight line, and you will have to tip the burner up about to a 45 degree angle to get the connector and wire out. Next time I'll know!!!

I looked at the available online tutorial, followed the instructions given. It was an excellent tutorial and the repair was done in minutes. The element shipped quickly and the whole transaction was simple and cost effective!

I watched your repair video and this took no time at all, it was really easy. It took longer to find the right size socket and to clean the sides of the stove and underneath it after pulling it out than the repair took. Thanks!

Use the drawing and a meter found the was the problem the control board replaced board.

Unscrewed two screws and unplugged the two wires took the old element out and replaced it with the new one plugged the two wires back in put it back in place and put the two screws back in place and I was done in less than 15 minutes.

was so easy my husband told me we needed a new oven I went on this parts select website they told me everything! where to find model number to my oven what the part look like how to take out old and replace with new part. my husband was so impressed! I impressed myself!

Disconnected power first. Removed 4 screws on the back of the range, pulled the knob off of the switch, removed 2 small screws on the switch(on the front , under the knob) pulled off the 4 wires with spade connections on the switch. Put wires on the new switch, put in 2 screws on new switch, pushed knob on switch, replaced back cover and tested the new switch. Works great. Took less than 10 mins.

I removed the two screws at the back of the inside of the oven, pulled the element out to where I could remove the slip on fitting from each side of the element, the I connected the fittings to each side of the new element, pushed it back into place and then replaced the screw on each side of the new element to hold it into place.
