Read the error code by holding down both the start and cancel buttons. One Led flashes once and the 5 Led's flash 3 times. This means that error code is 31. I looked the code up on the Frigidaire website. This code explanation in the tech manual indicates a bad pressure switch. In my model the pressure switch is a small round device mounted on the inside right sheet metal. I unplugged the washing machine from its power source (wall socket) Removing two screws gets the top sheet metal off. A couple of screws removes the pressure switch hold down. A quick twist gets the bad switch in you hand. Remove the two wires and the rubber hose. (note the location of the wires so you can put them back in the same place on the new switch). I received the new switch in just a few days. Installed it in reverse order from above. (I blew down the tube to make sure that there were no obstructions in the tube. ( I heard bubbles in the water that remained in the washers tub)). I didn't immediately re install the washer top sheet metal, but decided to test the washer first. Plugging the washer in resulted in no beeping. (was happy about that) Put some clothes in the washer, shut the door and started a normal wash cycle. Every was fine. Replaced the top sheet metal with the two screws ( I taped these to the door so as to not loose them). Project complete. Easy to do and save probably $200 plus dollars. Hope this helps you. Bruce

A part of the door lock assembly was broken, causing the washing machine not to start.

The entire process, from diagnosing the problem, ordering the part, and instalation was fantastic! I ordered the part Friday afternoon and had it at my door Saturday afternoon. I was so relieved to read the installation posts from other customers demonstrating how common this issue is and how easy it was to fix! I simply watched the installation video that was sent with my confirmation email. It is also conveniently located on your website. I had the new part installed in less than 30 minutes AND before my husband got home! Thank you Partselect.com!
