I first tested the motor per the service manual. I checked the resistance between the terminals of the 3 pin connector. It's supposed to be 5-15 ohms. The motor checked out so I replaced the main electrical board. It turns out that wasn't the problem. The problem ended up being the pump motor which discharges water from the washer. I figured out this was the problem after trying several things. I determined the motor was fine when it was empty. Once i got the parts I removed the top so I could get to the hangers. I removed the broken parts and replaced them with the replacement parts and rehung the tub and replaced the top. read more
