My refrigerater has been leaking in side and my eggs are getting wet
For model number WRT311FZDM01
PartSelect logo
Hello Kelly, Thank you for the question. We suggest checking the Drain Tube. Make sure there is no blockage that is preventing the Defrost Cycle Water from backing up and leaking onto the Shelves. You can try to clear the tube with a Pipe Cleaner and hot soapy water with a Turkey Baster. We hope this helps!

Ice tstes terrible but I can’t find a filter to replace
For model number WRT311FZDM01
PartSelect logo
Hello Marcia, thank you for reaching out to PartSelect. Your model does not have a built-in water filter. The ice smells because it basically traps and concentrates the odors inside your refrigerator, since the fan blows air across the water while it is freezing in the icemaker to try to cool the water quicker and turn it into ice. The odor inside your refrigerator and freezer may not even be detectable, but it will intensify as it concentrates on the water for the ice cubes. The best thing to do is take everything out of the refrigerator and freezer. Wipe everything down with white vinegar and spray Febreze inside the refrigerator and freezer and wipe that down as well. Next, put 4 boxes of baking soda inside the refrigerator and freezer (one at the top and bottom of the freezer and refrigerator section). Now, odors will take a while to remove, unfortunately. If you left everything out of the unit for 2 weeks, the odor would be gone. But plastic holds odors, so with food inside the unit it can take longer than 2 weeks, unfortunately. Either way, once everything is cleaned out, and you put baking soda in the unit, it is just a waiting game and the odor and taste of the ice will slowly get better. We hope this information is useful!

My refrigerator stopped cooling and the freezer section stopped freezing
I knew the chances of all the freon leaking out was unlikely so I looked at the wiring to the compressor and there was a capacitor and a starter/overload so i figured I would start there. I went on line and found the parts at this site and they were less than the minimum service call charge for a service tech so I figured what the heck let's give her a shot so I did give it a shot. I ordered the parts and they were there in less time than a service tech could come out and i installed the parts and guess what for 90.00 in parts and 15 minutes in time I repaired my refrigerator. Thanks guys, It took less time to order the parts than it did to make the repair so thanks, your website rocks and is very well designed so my hat is off to you guys!

Evaporator Fan failure
The reason I repaired it myself was because the repairman that diagnosed the problem.didn't come back in two weeks. The evaporator fan sits behind a vented wall in the freezer and directs cold air into freezer and refrigerator.I removed the ice make assembly first and then the freezer wall held in place by two sheet metal nuts. Then removed wires from fan motor. Removed the fan blade from fan motor, which was press fitted on,then removed fan motor from bracket assembly(make sure and retain the two vibration rubber washers on back and front of motor. Reinstall new motor with vibration washers and press fan blade on new motor. Install in bracket assemble and reassemnble.

Lights inside refrigerator not working
I used a flat-head screwdriver to pop out the old light rocker switch. Then, I unplugged the wires, plugged them into the new light rocker switch, and then popped the new switch into the hole. That's it! Lights began working again.
