Piece of cake! The new part just plugged in to socket and back into fridge frame. Appreciated how easy it was to order this part.

unscrewed to little bolts and installed the new/metal part we got rfom partselect.If we may say.this is a great company to buy from! Fast!

I removed the housing at the top of the refrigerator compartment that contained the reefer light and temperature adjustment knob. This required a small nut-driver. Inside, I found the old defrost control, unplugged it, unscrewed it with a Phillips screwdriver, and replaced it with the replacement part. Then I replaced the housing to its original position.

Removed the housing with the light, 4 hexhead screws. This exposed the defrost timer, removed 2 hexhead screws, electrical connector and reassembled the unit.

After waiting over 2wks for my part to arrive, I purchased the part locally and made the repair the same day as I am still waiting for the part to arrive from you guys. Your customer service really needs improving. I paid for 2 day shipping, what a joke. I will be returning the part as soon as I receive it thanks.

I called the repairman who diagnosed the problem as a thermostat then had to order a thermostat took about 2 weeks to get back and install (cost little over $100). did good for about two weeks and same problem reoccured. I decided it was defrost timer and ordered from this site for $19.95 including shipping. I got on ( you tube ) and got instructions(recommend you tube) for DIY install about 15 to 20 minutes. Has been running great for about 3 weeks. ( YOU TUBE IS GREAT FOR A DIY REPAIR ON ABOUT ANYTHING)

Checked for continuity in heater, defrost thermostat and defrost timer. Heater good; not sure about thermostat or timer. Replaced thermostat - no change. Replaced timer - rotating and heater working.

I just took off the broken piece and replaced it with the brand new piece I got from Partselect.com. The part was like three bucks and shipping was a little over 5. I fixed the bottom shelf for under ten bucks. I didn't think I'd be able to find the part on the net, but a quick google search led me here. My wife was always nagging me to fix it. I started look inside ,disconnected power, and open all possible compartments to see any burned part. Fortunately I fined a small part look like melted and then i went online and make my research .Then i ordered that part and change it.

I removed the plastic shroud on the ceiling of the refigerator, unscrewed and unplugged the old defrost timer, and replaced it with the new one. I reinstalled the shroud with the new timer installed.

I attempted unsuccessfully to glue this piece several times. Then my wife got the idea for me to search for a replacement on line. It took me less than 5 minutes to reassemble the door rack and reinstall in in our refrigerator. no tools were required. The part fit like the factory original. I wish all repair jobs were this straight forward and simple to do. Having the correct part makes it more than easy. We were both more than pleased with the price and the delivery time.

The knob came in the plastic package. It was the correct part. I opened the package and placed the knob on the prongs. Now it works fine.

Put the pieces that came together, and crimped the retainers with padded pliers. Installed in to the door snap clip retainers 3 minutes start to finish.
The REALLY impressive part was that I did the standard FedEx shipping which was supposed to be 5-7 days. I received the parts 28 HOURS after I placed the order. This was way above and beyond the term "good" Customer Service. The service was OUTSTANDING. So much so that I got to place a call I seldom get to make back to PartSelect to thank them for the outstanding service.
