Water Inlet Valve - Hot

The hot water inlet valve on your washing machine controls the water flow into the washer. This inlet valve has a standard hose fitting inlet and one water outlet. The water inlet valve opens to allow water to enter the washing machine. If the water inlet valve is defective, the washer may leak, fill slowly, or not fill at all. To test your valve, unplug the washer when the symptom occurs. If the washer continues to fill, then your inlet valve is defective. This part is approximately 3 inches long x 3 inches wide.

Tub Bearing

This is known as a tub bearing or a rear bearing, and it is part for your washing machine. The function of this bearing is to be a support for the spin basket shaft that is located at the back of the washer tub. This model is sold individually and measures to have a 2.5-inch outer diameter. As this bearing is very difficult to install, the manufacturer recommends completely replacing the rear tub and bearing assembly. If you are only installing the rear bearing, consider replacing the seal and the other bearing as they wear out together.

Locking Pin

This is a locking pin, and it works in conjunction with your washer. The part measures to be roughly 3 inches long, and less than an inch wide. The pin is cylindrical, off-white in color, and made entirely of plastic. This part is used to hold the shock absorber on the washing machine. There is a pin used at the bottom and top of the shock absorber. This model is sold individually. If your washing machine is experiencing an above-average amount of shaking and moving this part may be the reason.

Washing maching wouldn't drain

Removed the top of the washer by removing the 4 back screws and 2 small brackets. Then I removed the front panel, this was actually the hardest part, 2 screws and 8 tabs that you pop out carefully from the top of the panel. Conclusion was that either the control panel or the noise filter (an electrical fuse apparatus)was bad. Disconnected the water line, turned off power, and pulled unit out from cabinets. Disconnected power. Removed washer top; only 2 screws in back. Disconnected two wire connectors on Filter Assembly Circuit. Removed assembly; 1 screw. Installed new assembly, reconnected wires, and replaced washer top. read more
