I watched the video you provided and I could't believe how simple it was. I'm 67 yrs old and I just followed the video instructions.

Viewed the hot/cold valve. I saw that the cold water solinoid was burned. Ordered new valve and replace old valve. On my washer 4 screws held the switch panel, easy to remove and gave me plenty of room to veiw and do the repair.

Use a flat head screw drive to push the clip off the timer stem which holds the knob, which is behind the knob, pulled old knob off, place new knob on timer stem, used needle nose pliers to push new clip on timer stem to hold knob on

Just push the new knob over the metal pin

Gently turned washer over onto its front. Removed bottom metal panel (3 or 4 screws on each side). Removed old belt. Installed new belt. NOTE: The new belt is a tight and perfect fit, therefore it will not want fit on to both pulleys/ rotating discs. I have found the best method is to start the belt on the disc that drives the belt. Then place as much of the belt over the disc that sits below the washing machine drum as is possible(the spinning part)and then turn the belt by hand and the belt should pop on to the disc. If the belt goes on easily you may have the wrong belt as the belt must be tight to achieve the traction necessary for the washing machine to spin. HOPE THIS HELPS!! A screwdriver may be handy in helping to pry on the belt. Good look.

I went on Utube and watched a video. Explains exactly what you have to do. A real skinny pair of electrical pliers helps to get the plastic pin out. The replacement knob comes with a new pin. This repair actually does take less than 15 minutes.

I removed the clip with needle nose pliers pulled the knob off,put the new knob on and replaced the clip.

pushed replacement knob on shaft of dryer. machine works better than new. took less than 24 hours from time of order to time of delivery to my house.

Removed the four torx-head screws on the top of the washer. Pulled the control panel forward. Removed the four screws on the back of the washer and the two screws that held the dual valve on. These six screws required a nut driver. Pulled the small hose off the old valve. Then reversed the procedure. Total time to replace the faulty old part was about ten minutes. With saftey in mind, disconnect the electrical cord and shut the water valves off at the wall.

took 4 screws off top of control panel, lifted it out, pulled off control knob, removed 2 electric wires ( unit was UNPLUGED )lifted up / pried up metal tab, turned counterclockwise 1/4 turn , removed plastic hose and walla ! reversed to installed. a piece of cake, less than a two beer job ! p.s, you tube has video's of this and helped alot. very very easy. now i'am taking down my kenmore elete he3t washer ( made in MEXICO of course ) for outer tub bearings. everything has to come out but i can do it ! woot woot !! and a special thanks to PartSelect for having the correct part.

old dryer knob had lost its spring and would not turn on. simply pulled old knob off and replaced by pushing new knob onto shaft. voila! saved myself a service call.

I removed the damagedtimer and installed the replacement. I 20 minutes I was washing clothes again.
