WEF360ESD Westinghouse Range - Instructions

It cannot be cleaned as it welded itself to oven bottom. Two screws in back of oven bottom and it lifted right out. The new bottom says "do not use aluminum foil" Very easy repair.

pull back panel, 2 screws & one wire at a time.....And don't forget to KILL POWER!!!!super easy works great now and the wife loves it.

used fill up screw driver removed bake element, detaching it from power wires on both ends replaced it with new bake element screwed back in and was done in 5 minutes.

First I unplugged the stove. I used a nut driver to remove the element from the back of the oven. The ends of the element were attached to wires. I pulled the ends of the element out of the wire ends, being careful to hold on to the wires to protect them from breaking. I pushed the wire ends onto the new element, fed the wires back into the back of the oven, put the screws back in and it was done! The repair was very simple. The hard part was cleaning under the stove and the sides of the stove!! :) When I pulled it out to unplug it I found that my children love to sweep things underneath it!! Oh well now I have a working oven AND a clean stove!

First, I UNPLUGGED the range. After removing the screws that hold the element in I pulled it out, disconnected one side, then tried to disconnect the other side only to find it soldered on. With the diagonal pliers I cut wire next to where the terminal was connected to the element. Using the crimping tool I stripped the end to expose about 1/4 inch of clean wire, twisted it tight, put on a new terminal, crimped it in place and pushed it on the element. After that, all I had to do was push the element back in place and secure it with the screws. The last step was to reconnect the power and turn the oven on low heat for about five minutes to burn off any residue on the element. Works great! Thank you

I turned the breaker off first of course. Then I removed the oven racks and removed the metal tabs by unscrewing the hex nut with the nut driver. I pulled the wires in to the oven and unsnapped them from the element. I bet them so that they would not go back through the hole. I removed the broken element and snapped in the new element. I pushed the wires back through the holes and lined up the metal tabs. I put the hex nuts back in and screwed them in tight. Turned the breaker back on. Set the oven to 350 and turned it on. I could feel the heat at once. Ta-DA!

Diagnose if element or controller by removing element and turning oven on. Found voltage at wires, so assumed controller OK. Check resistance/continuity of element. Appeared open (don;t what actual value should be (neglected to check new part). So pretty sure it was element. Left disassembled while ordering new part (use of range top ok - no oven use) replaced element, function check OK. Done.

Replaced the control I got from you , even though it was a little different the lugs matched up and works great.

My bake element stopped working and found part of it burned. So I ordered a new one and received it in a week. It took about 2 min. to remove the old and install the new one and I'm back baking.

unplugged stove;used nut driver to unscrew 2 screws and remove broken element;plugged in new element;used nut driver to replace screws. done. i used a flashlight to see better in oven. easy

Initially we realized there was a problem while cooking with the large eyes and we began hearing an electrical short behind the control switch. I unplugged the power from the oven/cooktop and removed the back panel where I could visually see soot on the switches where it was shorted. Careful while choosing your part from the diagram on Partselect.com. For the model FEF336ECJ, atleast for my oven, the eye switches were reversed and I ordered the small eye's switches! Luckily they have an outstanding customer support and immediately mailed out the new parts and a label to send the wrong parts back. Changing the parts out was very simple. Pull the oven out and UNPLUG IT from any electrical outlet. Remove the back panel. Double check from the label on the front of the control panel that you are working with the correct switch, and before removing the current switch, remove the wires one by one and place them on the new part to make sure you don't misplace these wires. Once the wires are connected to the new part, pull the plastic knob off of the old switch to reveal the screws on front of the panel. Place the new switch where the old one came from and fasten the screws back in place. Replace the knob, replace the back panel(for safety) and test the new switch before you push the oven back into place. If you can turn a screw driver, move the oven, and unplug the power, this easy do it yourself repair will save you possibly hundreds by not calling a repair/handyman who would absolutely love you to pay out the nose for such an easy task.

turned off the breaker that powered the stove removed 2 screws, removed old element from 2 sleeve like parts, replaced with the new element. replaced 2 screws and done took less than 10 mins to replace!! Thanks PartSelect!!!
