I ordered the part and it fit perfectly!! About five minutes to screw it onto my faucet and problem solved!!!

This repair is very simple. Partselect.com sells a repair kit for this problem that you can use but for simplicity the entire unit is not that much more. First remove the four outside lower philips head screws on the inside of your dishwasher door. Support outer door panel while removing screws. This will remove the outer door panel to gain access to the detergent cup. Remove panel by pulling out bottom first then slightly pulling downward. You will then see the detergent cup. Unplug the two leads that are connected to the unit keeping in mind their orientation. Remove the five screws that hold the detergent cup in place. Remove the cup assembly and gasket. Clean gasket area and install new cup and gasket. Reinstall five screws (do not overtighten) and plug leads back in. To reinstall door panel position door panel at a slight angle and install top first sliding upward into place under control panel then push inward at bottom. Reinstall the four philips head screws on the inside and you are finished. The complete repair will take you less than 30 minutes.

the coupling for the water hookup for my rollaway dishwasher was very badly damaged. After looking everywhere including authorized dealer and repair places, on-line at the manufactures parts website, I finally broke down and ordered the entire hose assembly. When it arrived, I simply used a toothpick to carefully remove the new gasket from the new part and put in the the old one. It took about 30 seconds and works perfectly. I paid 60 bucks for a tiny little washer, but I have an extra hose assembly if something should go wrong in the future.

After searching on the internet for a very long time, we were almost ready to order the screws "blind" (no picture) from Sears for almost $10.oo per screw. Then I stumbled onto this website and found exactly what I was looking for, with a detailed description AND a picture!! Not to mention a price that was two thirds less than Sears..for TWO screws. Now the oven door is secure and we are no longer on our search for the right screws.

i took the dishwasher apart, took off the old hose and replace it with the new one. it was real easy. i smiled as my two yr. old tried to help me . i'm sure i'll be odering other parts in the future.

I had to replace the faucet in the kitchen sink orignnally. However since I use a porteable dishwasher, its hose connects to the kitchen faucet. The new faucets aerator is threaded differently than the old so that the dishwasher adapter would not screw in. I had misplaced the adappter kit that came with the dishwasher last year, so I ordered the adapter from partselect.com. when the part came a few day it was a simple as screw out the old aerator, screwing in the new adapted and then putting the modified aerator from the old faucet back in so that the dishwasher can be connected as needed.

So I decided to stick in some CLR to see if it would clean it up. Well it got considerably worse. So ordered the new faucet adapter, threaded adapter and the two washers, due to not knowing what i would need. It came like unbelievably fast considering it was Christmas time. Unscrewed the old one from the faucet, screwed on the new one. hooked up the dishwasher, watched it for a bit for any leaks at the connection, and it worked great! I seem to have more water pressure too coming from the sink faucet. Thank you so much for the quickness in sending out my order! -- Scott

I would recommend getting the entire unit. I could have replaced the electrical component only, but the other parts were deteriorating.

I removed the 4 screws in the lower side of the door and removed the front.

I lossened the 6 screws holding the detergent cup. This was done with a small hex wrench.

I replaced the dispenser and connected the wires back onto the electrical sensor.

I put the front back on the door and tested the repair. Worked fine

I will be replacing the door gasket next. I found evidence of leakage when I removed the front of the door to replace the detergent cup.

After nearly 20 years of use (and no service) my Maytag dishwasher stopped getting dishes clean. I called Maytag and they made me an appointment with a nearby service center. The Maytag person also suggested I do a run with an open container in the dishwasher filled with a couple of cups of white vinegar – since that dissolves the white scale buildup from hard water. That helped a lot. Yay Maytag!

I had 5 days to wait for service, so I started Googling. I found very negative reviews of my local service center, but I also learned that I could buy a replacement detergent dispenser online and I found excellent simple instructions for installing it. It arrived in two days and I installed it. The hardest part was removing the front panel of the dishwasher to get access and supporting it while taking out the last couple of screws – then holding it in place afterwards while putting the screws back in. I recommend having a second pair of hands!

I also realized that the two rotating spray arms (at the bottom and at the top) weren’t rotating! They’re easy to remove (just unscrew the center component), and I found that many of the holes were clogged – including all the ones pointing sideways that make them spin. I had to force water inwards through the holes to dislodge the debris, then I filled the arms with water through the center hole and sloshed it around to clear things out. That worked. I put it back together – and the dishwasher is now as good as new!

For good measure I took the cover off the strainer in the bottom to clean it, but surprisingly the strainer was almost completely clean.

I cancelled the service appointment, of course. I’m sure I saved a lot of $$$.

I had read that recently mandated reformulation of dishwasher detergent with lower phosphate content makes it less effective – but I’m not seeing that: a little simple maintenance and my dishes are 100% squeaky clean again!

Took old one off , installed new one!!

I only really needed the lip seal that fits in the faucet adapter. After much research I discovered that the seal was simply not available. I tried to substitute a standard O-ring of the correct size, but it was too thick and did not allow the adapter to snap on to the faucet.

I purchased the complete hose assembly from Partselect.com, and received it quickly. I used a small screwdriver to remove the seal from the new hose assembly, and installed it in my existing hose assembly. The seal was a perfect match with the old one, it fit perfectly, and no more leaks.

Be careful not to damage the new seal when you are removing it. Also, be advised that if you choose to replace the entire hose assembly that you may need to replace the areator on your faucet, in this case the new hose would not fit on the existing areator, but fortunately the seal was a perfect match.

I have a new faucet so I remove the screen then I used an extender ring put on your adapter an got the washer to run.

Purchased and installed new faucet attachment. It arrived quickly and very easy to attach. Thank you !

the wood top is removed this allows access to the side cabinet screws and the lower front trim screws behind the lower front trim panel you can access the hose connections disconnect and reinstall
new part works great!

Just as everybody explained, 4 screws for the door panel, 6 screws for the dispenser, out and in, 15 minutes!!! There are plenty of screws on the door but, once i knew i was looking for 4 screws, it was a cinch!!! Thanks for that tip. All my appliances are the same age so i 'll be back to this site again!!
