1. Why is the spark ignitor clicking all the time? At first the clicking would start on it's own. We could unplug the stove and then plug it in, the sparking would stop. Now it sparks continually.2. the knobs have become stiff and won't turn on?

Hi Brenda, Thank you for your question. If you have a spark igniter that is clicking all the time, check to see if any of the burners and burner caps are out of alignment. If they are, reposition them and see if this resolves the issue. If you have recently cleaned the cooktop or if water has spilled on top of the cooktop, the burners may still have some moisture in them and you will need to wait until they dry out before the clicking stops. If the burner ports are clogged with debris, then you will hear a clicking noise. Take a straight pin and gently clean them. If you are not comfortable cleaning them yourself, you may need to contact an appliance repair person to help you. If the knobs are stuck and will not turn, remove the knobs and clean the shafts the knobs go onto to see if this fixes the issue. These shafts are connected to the burner valves. You may or may not be able to use a lubricant on the shaft to see if this loosens them. To verify if you can use a lubricant on the shafts, you will need to check with the manufacturer. If cleaning does not help and you are unable to use a lubricant to loosen the shafts, they will need to be replaced. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.
