W30400B Jenn-Air Wall Oven - Instructions

Installed new thermostat. Went well. Now the oven comes on and it takes 2.5 hours to come up to 250 degrees. Help!

Pull the 4 control knobs off the front and remove the one screw under each knob. Remove 4 hex head screws and 2 phillips head screws from under the display panel...open oven door first. Gently lower and roll panel forward and out. Detach 2 wiring harness's and the 'ribbon'. Reverse to assemble. Read how others did the job and it was exactly as they said. To have it done would have been $464. I did it myself for $189. Part was shipped fast. . Thank you.

My husband would not relinquish the tools:(. It took him 15 min or less to change the electronic clock and maybe 2-3 min to change the seal. Niyyah, Scottsdale, AZ

My ordered part arrived quickly. I followed the directions of others posted on your website. It was very easy. Popped the old bad unit out, new unit in, put the faceplace back on, turned on the power to the range and walla, the clock is brighter than when it was new!!!!

After carefully unhinging the door (by removing the plates on the oven itself it snaps forcefully, so be careful) it becomes obvious how to remove the door to get to the glass. My BIGGEST obstacle was putting everything BACK! If I was smarter, I would have noted the order and way I removed everything. It really wasn't that difficult.

Got a bent metal coathook to temporarily release the oven door, removed the screws from the old probe, inserted the new one, and hooked it up, using the one of the plug adapters provided. Problem solved! The oven door latch was now disengaged, the oven would now accept temperature inputs, and the rear cooling fan (which wouldn't shut off) now turned off. That's a lot of things working better for less than $50!

First I checked the lower element. Resistance measured within range. Then I checked the temperature sensor. Again, resistance within range. So I decided it must be the relay board. I was very nervous given the price of the relay board. I ended up leaving the oven in place so it was a bit difficult reaching the relay board and noting where all the different wires went. After about 30 minutes and at first plugging one of the wires on the wrong position, the oven worked perfectly. I suspect I saved a lot of money having a repair person come to the house. Thanks for all the on-line help!

Watched the video and things went exactly as planned. Love this website will use them again when I need a repair.

Took the door off; undid the screws, fit the new glass in and then put it back together. Only thing to be careful with is taking the door off..it is spring loaded.. so you absolutely MUST have your fingers out of the way of the hings.. otherwise it will cut them off. Overall job was quite easy. I'm glad I didn't pay the $150+ to have a random service center come 'look' at it.

I had repair men replace the door hinges 2times and decided the 3rd time to do it myself and save some $. ordering was a chinch, received the parts in 2 days and followed instructions posted on this site. They were excellent. Just a few things I would stress: Lift UP the door to remove, not open the door fully and pull out and also make sure to take the small pins out of the new hinges before closing. They are so small you could over look them. The person who put detailed instructions on this site is to be commended for clarity and detail on "How To" I really appreciated it.

removed 2 screws in probe and pulled it out.had to take back off as wire was tangled from factory and couldn't do quick repair

The oven did not auto clean. Problem was the sensor stopped working. Tried to repair from the front but could not get the connector through the hole. Removed the rear panel and found the connector had melted. Could not find a new wireing harnes on line, so I cut the wires on the stove and the new sensor coupling. Spliced the wires togather. The oven cooks fine, I have not tried the cleaning cycle yet.

Parts package contained no instructions. Found all instructions on internet. I used Phillips head to remove two screws on anchor plate of Long Oven Sensor. Located at upper left, back corner of oven; access to screws is not simple/easy. Screws back out w/o difficulty. Pull/extract sensor harness through hole[back of oven] which required pushing aside insulation. The harness barely fits thru hole in oven back metal wall; I recommend using needle nose pliers ( which I ended up doing ) for ease of extraction. Disconnect harness plastic interlok clips. Perfect reconnection of new clip harness with ease. Reverse procedure to complete installation/repair. Done in just over 35 minutes due to wrestling with harness extraction through minimal hole opening. Failure occurred on Thanksgiving Day with 22lbs turkey in oven. Top of turkey contacted sensor tip which eventually caused sensor fault; result was scorched upper breast and oven shut down [safety by design]. Cook top was still operative; clock and all readings on digital control panel ceased. With new 'long oven sensor' installed - good as new. Will be sure to buy turkey(s) under 20lbs in future.
