My washer is banging and jumping across the floor
For model number VAW3584GW1
Hi Michael, thank you for reaching out. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend checking the washer is perfectly leveled. If it is perfectly leveled, we would recommend replacing the suspension rod kit, part number PS11703288, to fix this issue. We hope this solves your problem!
I used the wrong terminology in the question you just answered. I don't know what you call the center column in the tub that does the washing. So, if you could send me instructions on how to remove this column and I can then retrieve my hoodies draw string.
For model number VAW3584GW1
Hello Robert, Thank you for the question. The Center Column would be the Washer Agitator, PartSelect Number PS11742049. If you enter the part number into the site, there is a How to Video. We hope this helps.
Washer goes thru wash cycle then drains rinse light comes on then nothing
For model number VAW3584GW1
Hello David, Thank you for the question. We suggest checking to see if the water is draining slowly and all of the water is drained from the tub. If the water is draining slow and water is left behind it means there was not enough time in the drain cycle for it to complete and the rinse cycle can not start. Normally this is caused by a blockage in the drain pump or drain hose. We hope this helps!
New washer. Machine won’t start. “Lid Locked” light on. Tried unplugging.
For model number VAW3584GW1
Hi Toni, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, mostly this issue appears when the lid lock is not working, or the control board is not sensing that the lid is locked. We would suggest testing the Lid Lock, part number PS12704713, and the Control Board, part number PS12348137. If you need help placing an order for it, please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

Pulled off the dispenser. Used socket set to remove bolt. Removed entire agitator out of washer. Placed both feet on bottom of agitator and then pulled up on the upper agitator.
