Single Outlet Valve Kit

The water inlet valve on your refrigerator allows water to enter the ice maker and water dispenser. If your ice maker or water dispenser is not functioning properly, or you notice a leak, you may need to replace the single outlet valve. This single outlet valve has 1/4-inch compressions fittings and is intended for use with refrigerators that make crescent-shaped ice cubes. As per the manufacturer, this valve has a new quick connection. You must cut the retaining nut off your current plastic water line, and gently push it into the new valve. Be sure to disconnect the water and power sources from the refrigerator before you begin this repair.

Fill Tube Clamp

The fill tube clamp is used in refrigerators to support the water tube. If the tubing or hose is working but is loose inside the unit, the clamp could be broken or damaged. If this is an issue your refrigerator is experiencing, replacing the clamp can be the solution. These tube clamps are sold individually and the screw is not included. I first shut off water flow to the fridge. Examination of the package (which was not exact in appearance to the original) demonstrated that the electrical connectors were well-insulated so I arrogantly and successfully proceded without disconnecting the power. I unplugged the electrical connection. Then I removed the 2 screws holding the icemaker in place. I lifted out the old icemaker unit and put the new one in place. Then put the 2 screws back in and plugged in the new unit.

used a screwdriver to remove screw and unplugged part. Plugged in new one and secured with a screw.
