Drum Belt

This drum belt, often referred to as a drive belt, is used in the assembly of dryers. It goes around the drum, the idler pulley, and the motor pulley. As the armature on the motor spins, this belt is what rotates the drum and tumbles your clothes during the dry cycle. If you can hear the motor running but the drum is not moving that is a sign your belt is broken, stretched, or damaged, and can no longer grip the drum. Ball Hitch

This ball hitch provides support to the drum located at the back wall of the dryer. This allows the drum to spin. The bearing may have gone bad and you might notice that the ball is cut off. Grounding Ball

This grounding ball is used in dryers and works to prevent friction in the rear bearing when the drum rotates. If your dryer is making a squealing, loud, banging noise or will not operate, it is best to replace it to solve the problem. To repair, first remove the main top and remove the strap at the back of the dryer to lift the lid. Next, remove the two wire harnesses and Phillip screws on the sides that connect to the front panel.
