How can I remove ice chute The rubber cap came off
For model number RS261MDBP
PartSelect logo
Hi Beth, thank you for reaching out. We have found some relevant instructions to help you remove the ice chute. They may not be of the exact same model, but they will help you with the process. You can remove the ice chute by following these steps: 1. Use the phillips-head screwdriver to unthread the two mounting screws securing the ice and water dispenser control assembly. 2. Pull the assembly down, disconnect the wire connector, and release the wire from the retainer if still intact. 3. Now pull the old ice chute free of the assembly. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

I took off the doors and reattached them a couple days ago, now there is a constant beeping noise that comes on every minute or so. Could it be something with the doors or a different reason?
For model number RS261MDBP
PartSelect logo
Hi James, thank you for reaching out. Sounds like the 'door ajar' sensor might be broken or the door not aligned. Make sure you installed the door correctly and hinges are tightly secured. If this is not the issue, you will need to replace the reed switch, part number PS4138745. Good luck with the repair!

The compressor got very hot. I cleaned the condenser, let it get cooled, checked the r,s and c windings and read correctly and i replaced the overload and the relay kit but the compressor did not worked. Could you tell me what could it be? I will appreciate your help.
For model number RS261MDBP

Hi Rudy, Thank you for your question. If you have checked the condenser and it is working correctly, check the defrost system in the refrigerator. Try defrosting the refrigerator to see if this helps. If the refrigerator is not defrosting as it should, the compressor will get hot. If it is not working correctly, you will need to check the evaporator assembly. This includes the defrost heater and the temperature sensor. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!

Ice tray had cracked and broken. The water is still not filling up my ice tray.
The replacement was fairly simple. I removed the existing tray and detached the water line. Once the water line water reattached to the new tray I inserted into the ice maker.

*** The problem I'm having now is the water is not filling up the tray***
Not sure what I did wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
