Ice maker has stopped working. What is the normal cause for this?

Hello Gary, thank you for your question, there are a few reasons your ice maker could stop making ice. First, we suggest checking the bail arm is the down position, then check your water line to see if its frozen. If there is ice buildup, unplug the refrigerator and use a turkey baster filled with warm water or a hair dryer to defrost the lines. We also suggest checking the water filter, part number: PS4138224 to see if it needs to be replaced. If there are no ice buildup issues or suspected problems with the water filter or supply, then you may have a problem with the ice maker, part number: PS4175630. Good luck with your repair!

... Read moreow after 2 months of having only a freezer, not a refrigerator, I am thrilled. I will always recommend your company for parts. The part was perfect, installed easily by the right company and I happily have a functioning refrigerator.
The replacement was fairly simple. I removed the existing tray and detached the water line. Once the water line water reattached to the new tray I inserted into the ice maker.
*** The problem I'm having now is the water is not filling up the tray*** Not sure what I did wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
