ice cubes are now being made properly and there is no more leaking.

I am a woman, not mechanically handy, but set my mind to do this myself. The part came in 2 days. I watched the video and had it in done within minutes. Very easy! A few scews and follow video.

Thermostat replacement

Took socket out and replace it with new one. Very easy. W saved alot of money doing it ourself.

Previous to installing the new ice maker - I replaced the dual inlet water valve per the instruction video I found @ partselect website. That did not solve the problem <> I also adjusted the timer on the old ice maker down - per another video / which also did not solve the problem. Then I viewed the video on icemaker replacement - ordered the ice maker & 3 days and 15 minutes later <> the problem was fixed ! This web site is "fantastic" ! First, although I was SURE I knew what to do, I watched the repair video. I used needle nose pliers to push broken support into wall since I could not pull it out. Selected correct wall fixture, spread holder pins, and snapped into wall opening. Couldn't have been easier!!! Very useful site.

Took ice maker out all together we removed 4 to 5 screws had to remove axel to get the broken piece out and new one in my husband said it was easy in and out in about 15 minutes saved about 150. 00 Thanks partslect

I took the upper three screws pull the door up and then removed the broker part in the bottom of door by removing one screw. Install new part and put door back securing it by the three screws on the top of regrigerator. Very easy

Easy job due to great instruction video by PartSelect.

After plugging in the new relay to no avail. I replaced the thermostat. That fixed the problem.

Replaced the Ice Maker Control asssembly. Online video instruction were ectremely helpful. Time to repair was about 10-15 minutes and we have a funcioning ice maker again!

Removed three screws. Discount wire harness. Reverse proceedure for installation.

Watch the u-tube video first ,Then read instructions that came with new unit ! so darn easy. unplug fridge, remove ice bin, clean and dry bin before putting back in service! stick flashlight in freezer loosen 2 top screws remove 1 bottom screw, unmount unit, unplug wire harness, remove icemaker and put on table, close freezer door !! , Remove sensor arm from old unit in down position and install in new unit. plug in new unit and reattach in freezer. replace ice bin and plug in fridge, that's it!, It took about 2 hours for the icemaker thermostat to say OK lets go had a load of ice in aprox 3 hours from finish. piece of cake. Read the suggestions of possible repairs on PartSelect web site. Ordered part based on these suggestions. Part was received within two days. Followed installation instructions found on the web site. Part was installed within fifteen minutes. Ice bin was full the following morning.

Before I ordered, I followed the great video to disassemble the unit. That's when I realized I only needed to buy the drum. Five days later, I had the part. I thought I remembered how to reassemble it, but I ended up needing to watch the video again. It wasn't difficult, but you must get all the bits back in the same order!! Once that was dine, it all went together easily. Thank you! I'm so impressed with this site that I posted on Facebook about it so my friends can also save big bucks doing simple repairs themselves.
