Broiler element not working
Some times it's not the element at all, as in this case. After rmoving the element I found the wires broke. Fortunatly I had some high temp wire left over from a earlier oven repair. I used butt splices and heat shrink tubing to repair the wires. Then I crimped on a couple of eyelets and fastened things dow.n I received a big kiss form the wife for getting the broiler fixed so fast. Maybe a little extra work, but the rewards were worth it.

Oven not getting hot to preset temp
First turn off breakers. Undo all screws and remove burner. Easy to see how to replace old part with new. Self explanatory if you follow what you have taken apart.

The bake unit needed to be replaced
The process was relatively simple. You simply unscrew the small plate in the back of the oven and slowly pull out the bake unit. You must be careful because there is not much wire to work with so you must do your work reaching to the back of the oven to unattach the old unit and reattach the new one. The screws are small and the work position is awkward. Having someone hold a flashlight for you is helpful.

Mechanical clock stopped advancing; replace with newer digital clock
1) Took photo of original wiring behind original clock. 2) Marked up wiring instructions for new clock with wire colors. 3) Marked wire colors next to posts on new clock. 4) Removed old clock and its metal mounting bracket. 5) Installed new clock onto old mounting bracket.PROBLEM: The holes in the glass facade of oven are shifted about 1/4" off from the pushbuttons on the new clock. 6) Remove bracket and enlarged holes by 1/4" sideways. This includes shifting the holes for the oven light pushbutton switches, and the four "racetrack" holes where the bracket attaches to the oven. Plug wires into new clock, using extender wires provided as needed. Labelled extender wires with their "colors". POWER UP. The clock works, and the "Timed Bake" works. However, the Self-Cleaning of the oven cannot be started, because the latch level cannot be moved to the right (locked ) position. This leaves us unsatisfied, as restoration of Self-Cleaning was the reason we decided to replace the oven clock.

Heating element broke and needed replacing.
I didn't, my son did. The biggest part was getting the screws off that held the plate in place. Once loosened, just replace the broken element with the new one. Turned electricity back on, and everything worked great! Certainly appreciated the short time it required to get the shipment from Part Select. Thanks!

Broiler Element Burned Out
The repair was very eash. The replacement element fit perfectly and only involved removing two screws, pulling the old element out far enought from the bak of the oven to disconnect the wires held by two screws . Disconnecting the two wires and installing the new element. This is a 25 year old appliance and is back to working like new. One note, be sure to shut the power off to the range because one of the wires connected to the element remains HOT! even if the oven is not on.

Oven heating element arced and broke
We thought we would need a new oven. But just for the heck of it, I jotted down the model number of our 30+ year old oven and plugged it onto Google search. I was amazed to find it at PartSelect for $15. The repair was simply a matter of unscrewing the two screws holding the element in the rear of the oven. Then, after pulling the heating element out, I unscrewed the 2 more screws holding the power wires to the element. Replace with the new element, screw the two wires back on, screw the element back on the the back. Done! The only thing that made this difficult was the awkwardness of reaching to the back of the oven - otherwise, it was cake!

Bking element in wall over split apart
Removed the existing damaged baking element and installed new element. Repair consisted of removing two hex nuts and two screws to remove damaged element and reinstalled hex nuts and screws with new element. Very simple process. Best part of the repair was that I orderd the part on Tuesday and received the replacement part the very next day. Part Select is a great company.

Removed 2 sheet metal screws. Threw away old part. Replaced with new part secured with the same old sheet metal screws. Works perfectly. Actually it took longer to type this response. I was very pleased with Part Select. If I need another part you'll be hearing from me.

Baking element had burned in half
Power was turned off to the oven and I went to Part select web site to look for the part, very easy to find using the web site and then viewed the video on how to replace the element. Super easy. I removed the old element and was very happy I had watched the video because they pointed out that the wiring needed to be taped down so that it didn't disappear behind the wall of the oven. The new element arrived and the oven was back up working in 5 mins. Thanks Part Select....By the way the local appliance dealer wanted $103.00 to do this job. My part was $15.00.

Burned out broiler element
First I turned the power to the stove off at the breaker box. Next I removed the two screws holding the old element in place against the back wall of the oven. I gently pulled the element forward. I wound a couple lengths of spare colored wire around the two electrical wires before disconnecting the retainer screws at their connection points. This insured that the electric wires would not fall back inside and behind the firewall. I then disconnected the screws holding the electrical wires to the broiler element. I removed the element from the oven and discarded it. I then connected the screws through wires and the connecting points of the new element. I removed the spare wires hold the electrical wires. I positioned the broiler element in place and screwed in the retainer screws securing it in place. I turned the breaker switch to the "on" position and tested the new broiler element. It tested fine. Job done in 15 to 20 minutes. An able bodied person could do it in less than 10 I'm sure.
