I have water, then ice forming on the bottom of the ref. Usually this has been from defrost tube being plugged. The tube is clean so the water is coming from another source. Water seems to be on the left (as you look at it) side. Thanks

Hi Thomas, Thank you for your question. If there is water leaking inside the refrigerator, you will need to check the water lines to see if they are clogged or cracked. You will also need to check the water inlet valve and the ice maker to see if the water is coming from them. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!

Spacesaver icemaker stopped working. Does not appear to have frozen up.

Hi Sandie, thank you for your question. There are two parts that you should check for this issue. The first part to test would be your water inlet valve. The valve has two solenoids that control either the dispenser or the ice maker. Even if your dispenser is working the ice maker solenoid may not be and vise versa. The valve can be tested with a multi meter and should be reading between 500 - 1500 ohms of resistance. If that part is testing correctly then you should look into your ice maker being the issue. Good luck with your repair.

I need to change the incandescent bulb in the top of the refrigerator. The cover seems to be stuck. How do you remove it. Does it drop down from the front or back? Thanks.
For model number RF267ABRS
PartSelect logo
Hi Patrese, Thank you for your question. There are tabs that hold the cover in place. To remove the cover push the cover towards the back of the refrigerator to release the tabs in the front and then remove the cover from the refrigerator. If you have any questions, please let us know. We are open 7 days a week. We look forward to hearing from you!

Hello Barb, thank you for reaching out. According to our research on your model, the issue is probably related to the Door Switch, part number PS4138735. The Door Switch turns the light off when you close the door. We hope this solves your problem!

Left side French Door flap on Samsung refrigerator didn't retract when closing.
OMG seriously! I stopped into my go-to appliance repair shop to ask about what might be needed to repair the problem with my refrigerator door. They said you will need to replace the Mullion Flap piece. Cost would be $250-300 with part, labor and service. I went on line to see if I could handle the repair process myself. I found a How to - U Tube video and turns out I only needed to replace a little spring and pin not the whole Mullion Flap. Went to Parts select, ordered the spring and pin and did the repair myself in about 5 minutes. Shipping was $7 so I ended up paying $13 total.

Installation Video Incorrect
The installation video notes that the door mullion spring has a bent end, and that the bent end of the spring is to be inserted into the LOWER hinge. However, on my refrigerator door, the bent end of the door mullion spring must be inserted into the UPPER hinge in order for the door to function properly. (Also noted that in your video the installer manually closed the door mullion rather than just closing the refrigerator door, another indication that the installation of the spring was incorrect.) After watching the video several times to confirm I was installing the door mullion spring according to the video instructions, I tried inserting the bent end of the door mullion spring into the upper hinge, which proved to be the correct installation of the door mull spring. What should have been a 5 minute repair turned into an ½ hour repair.

spring in door mullion had broken
There is a pretty good video about this on youtube, but complications arose nonetheless. The replacement spring supplied by Partselect is a bit different from the original in two ways. First, it is made of heavier-gauge wire; this is a good thing for durability, but it makes installation tougher. Second, the ends of the spring, which are bent at right angles to the spring axis in order to fit into the plastic sleeves that hold the spring ends, are far too long. Once I figured this out, i snipped the ends down by a quarter inch or so, and they fit into the sleeves just fine after a certain amount of persuasion from needle-nose pliers. All things considered, it was a bit harder than it should have been, but the door works now, so all is well.
