RES7745PQ0 Roper Dryer - Instructions

Watched a video on utube and realized how easy this looked, took my dryer apart to see the belt broken in half and the idler pulley in pieces. Found Partselect on the internet and ordered my parts. Partselect was awsome, website was easy to navigate, ordered my parts and they were at my house the very next day and were the correct parts. Cleaned all the lint and dust out of the inside of my machine, installed new parts and put it back together. Works great and is still running strong. A service call, plus parts (with thier mark up) could have easily been $150.00 - $200.00 dollars. this repair was complete in about an hour and only cost me $37.50

Went to your web site and found 40% of the time the thermal fuse is the problem. By using your site found how to locate fuse & test it. It took me 10 min to take out the old part & tested it to find it bad. I ordered the part which cost $10 & got it in 3 days. It took me 10 min to install it and the dryer is fine. This save me a big repair bill.

It is a washer/dryer combo. First I unplugged the unit. I had to remove the top and front of the dryer, remove the belt and remove the drum. I then removed the side panel that the motor was on. That was a little tricky getting at a couple of the screws. I then took the flywheel off which was somewhat difficult. It screws off in the opposite direction and was hard to get loose. I unplugged the motor, no wires to connect. There is a clip on the front and back of the motor holding it in place. Take them off and the motor comes right out. Replace the new motor and screw the flywheel back on. Install the clips, plug the motor in and put everything back as you took it apart.

Diagnosed the problem on parts select, ordered the part and watched the youtube video on how to install and done! Super easy - thanks for boosting my "chicks can fix anything" mojo and saving me a bunch of $$.

Saw no heat, web said probably the fuse. Replaced the fuse. Nope. Second guess was the thermostat at the exhaust. Replaced that. Nope. Finally got to actively troubleshooting and isolated one of the thermostats near the heating element. Replaced that and everything is fine. So now I have a good spare fuse and thermostat for the next repair. There was one tool I wished I had, a socket small enough to open the back. I had to use pliers and that was a pain. Other than that the repair was almost trivial, just unplug the bad one and plug in the good one.

Raised top of dryer and removed screws holing front on. slid front panel up and off to remove drum. Seal was easy to install but you do have to be careful with the adhesive. After adhesive was dry laid dryer on it's back and installed drum. Reinstalled drum belt. Placed front panel back on and installed the two screws holding it in place. Set dryer upright and closed top.

Took the back off of the dryer; took off screws holding the heating element in place; disconnected the wiring (which is very self explanatory-just use color coding) and removed old heating element. Then replaced with new element by connecting the wiring; put screws back in that holds the element in place then put back dryer cover on.

Removed back panel of the dryer and located the thermal fuse. Disconnected two wires, and removed one screw holding the fuse in place. Installed new fuse and reassembled. Dryer works like a champ again.

I called the 1-888-895-1535 number and got expert advice to diagnose my drier. The part arrived and was very simple to install. Drier works like a champ! The online video was great! Thanks!
