Hi, my stovetop hot light continues to stay on even if the stove has been off for hours and the top is not hot. What part can I purchase to fix this issue?

Hello and thank you for writing. There's a bi-metal thermostat in the part of the element where the wires connect. It's part of the glass tube in the center of the element. When it reaches its set temperature it closes and completes the circuit to the light and it turns on. When you turn the element off the thermostat remains closed until it cools to the set temperature and opens breaking the circuit to the light and it turns off. Yours indicator light PS237434 might be faulty and/or possibly a malfunctioning harness PS3496797, you should check the part(s) for signs of damage, and replace it as necessary. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

9" Radiant Element did not heat up.
I started by Unscrewing the range top. 2 small screws. I took off the old piece by unclipping the piece . Then I color coded each wire so that I would know exactly where I would place the wires for the new part. 30 min maximum time spent changing the part. Please don't forget to unplug the range before you start.

Original heating Element was burned out
1st replacement part was damaged from Shipping.
Parts Select sent a new one that i received in only a few days.
our stove is slid into a granite island so the disassembly was not as simple as most. It was necessary to remove the controls, the controls housing & screws along the top of the oven door.
Within an hour the stove was back in place and working perfectly.
