The interlocking door latch gave up the ghost, at first, I thought it mighthave worked loose. but an inspection showed that the part had broken. I went onlinein the a.m. using the mfg. and part description, found part select.com and ordered the part. By the next day it was delivered (ordinary groun
I removed the screws holding the cover in place. used my digital camera to note the wire connections. Then , shut off the power to the unit. Using the torx driver I removed and replaced the broken unit(two screws). It was a perfect fit. I checked the wire photo to reattach the leads . Before tightening the cover in place, I checked the latch for fit to its mating part on the machine. Then I replaced the screws, made them tight using a portable drill with a clutch. Turned on the power and the repair was complete. Very quick, simple and I saved a bunch of money. Thanks!

Broken latch handle
TURN OFF ELECTRICITY TO DISHWASHER FROM FUSE BOX! Remove top 6 screws from inside the door panel. Once you have access to latch, remove the two screws that hold it in place. When removing the four terminals use firm grip and remove them as gently as possible. Reposition terminals on the new leads paying close attention to their location. Black wires on one side and white wires on the other. "L" shaped leads are in front and rectangle leads are in the back. Use the two screws to reattach the new latch, replace the door panel and you are finished.

The handle was broken
I replaced the old handle by taking out the six screws that hold the control panel on, then removed the two hex screws that held the handle in place. I removed each wire (4 total) one by one simultaneously reconnecting them to the new handle. Then I replaced all screws as they were and called it a day. Pretty simple, little mechanical knowledge required.

Latch was not working
Wow. I am now an appliance repair man. I fixed the dishwasher which was somewhat easy and all works well. Just a few days after the dishwasher was done the clothes dryer shut down. Since I am an now an appliance repair man I decided to tackle the dryer. I got out my meter and checked the parts and found that all I needed was a thermostat so I ordered it from parts select. My wife is so impressed, I saved a bundle and the service from parts select is great!
