dishwasher was leaking at heating element connections
Both heating element brass nuts had a split in them. They had fallen off the heating element and were hanging on the electrical wires. I removed the wires from the heating element and removed the brass nuts from the wires. I then screwed the new nuts on the heating element and reattached the wires. problem solved. I want to thank you for having the parts I needed as Sears had discontinued them for this Kenmore appliance.

Cleaned the inside bottom of dishwasher, leaked after I cleaned it.
After watching a wash cycle with the front cover off, I noticed water coming out from the bottom of the pan, under the Gasket. Pulled the gasket down out of the slit and reinstalled the new one exactly as the old one came off, with the wiper angled the correct direction.

Broken latch to open dishwasher
I unscrewed the front panel by using the screws at the top, inside of the dishwasher (I also unscrewed the screws at the bottom, inside, but that wasn't necessary). It took a little coaxing, but I gently pulled one wire at a time from the old unit and replaced that wire before going to the next. After all wires were attached, I screwed the new unit to the body. Really easy. I just was puzzled why I received instructions to replace the gasket and none for the dishwasher latch.

Plastic handle/latch broke
Once I realized I needed to remove the entire front of the dishwasher it was pretty easy. The only issue ws the new latch is not as tight as the original which may explain why the new gasket was included. I am going to take thr front off to make sure the latch gasket is screwed in tight. Otherwise it was very easy and simple to change.

Broken Handle.
Relatively easy to repair.

1 - Removed the 6 inside screws. and control panel came right out.
2 - Had to use a hex driver to remove the screws holding the latch ot the door. Easy enough, just two screws.
3 - Reassemble.

Toughest part of the job was getting the four wires off the latch. Used needlenose pliers.

I was suprised when I received the parts. There were directions on replacing the gasket but nothing for the door latch. Short of this, it was the right part and I received it on two days. Thanks
