Great part and very easy to install
This was a replacement for my original oven gasket. I ordered two others from other manufacturers that didn't work. This one worked in my GE oven and I was very impressed by the ability to search the diagrams to find the exact part I needed. Installations was simple and my oven is working again.

This is the rope looking "thing" that goes all around the inside of the door? Is it very difficult to put it on and are there adequate instructions for someone that has never done something like this before? Don't want to pay that much for something to find I only messed it up, rather than put it on correctly. Thanks, Beverley
For model number JKP30BM1BB
Hi Beverley,
Thank you for the question. Yes this is the seal that is around the inside of the oven door that looks like a silver/grey rope. Previous customers were able to do the repair on their own and said it took about 15 minutes or less. You can use needle nose pliers or something similar it pull the old gasket off. On the new gasket you will see small pins that you need to insert into the holes on the door. You will be able to see small holes for the pins once the old gasket it removed.
Good luck with the repair !
