slow gas oven lighting/intermittent shutdowns
Researched problem on internet and via PartsSelect. Ordered new electric gas ignitor as old one must have grown weak over time. Removed oven shelving and covers to expose ignitor. Unplgged old ignitor from wire connector and reinstalled new ignitor. Tricky part was holding the short oven wire in place before removing the old ignitor. Used a short piece of common wire to do so. Oven seems to light normally now. Job was relatively easy and simple. PartSelect step by step video has a big help.

stove converted to propane. 2 year later a bad oder developed.
called appliance repairman. He found problem and ordered new part. After 2 months waiting for part to get there, my husband got on internet and calld your number, and ordered what was needed. Now for the great thing. Within 4 working days we received what we thought we needed. but we had ordered the wrong part number. Got back on internet, went right to your web site, found the part that we did need, a flame spreader instead of the Deflector. called your service number, talked to a very nice person, again, told her what we did and ordered the correct part. Another great thing, we got that part the very next day. I returned the wrong part that same day. We then had our son install it and now we have a very nice working oven. Though out this very long ordeal, we talked to the applicance service people and got the same answer. The part has been ordered and it should be here next week. When we found your web site and called for the part, I called the appliance service and told them we had ordered the part ourselves and I would be happy to give her this information. THE VERY NEXT DAY she called us to tell us the part had fially arrived and they could come out the next day. Told them sorry but it as already taken care of. The very next time we need some part for any appliance we will call you first. Thank you for your very nice service people and the fast way that this all took place.

Oven on the bake cycle was taking a very long time to heat up, and not cooking properly.
1. take the metal racks out. 2. pull door up and off hinges. 3. pull warming drawer out, depress little plastic pieces on each slide, drawer will pull out. 4. remove 2 screws at back wall of oven that hold the food catch pan on bottom. (pay attention to how the igniter is fastened) 5. reach in where warming drawer was and unplug igniter, has plastic connector, all the way at back of oven. 6. use 1/4" nut driver to remove 2 screws in igniter bracket, BE CAREFUL TO NOT DROP the screws, if you do use a small magnet to retrieve, if it falls into an area you cant reach. 7. install new igniter.8. put all the pieces back in, Thought I was going to need a whole new stove, the thing works great now.

Oven Igniter (Heating Element) Failure
Very easy, removed two (2) hex headed sheet metal screws from oven bottom pan, slipped out, unplugged igniter & removed two (2) sheet metal screws. Removed broken (element) igniter. Reversed steps installing new element. Be careful do not touch element. The "new" style replacement element will have metal guard around the element for added protection& support.

Ignitor glowed but the gas valve would not allow gas to flow to the burner
Since the igniter was old, it was weak and was not drawing enough amperage. This resulted in the gas valve not to get energized. I only had to unscrew the igniter from the burner and remove the little plate in the back of the oven wall that covered the hole that the wires went through. Then I was able to pull the connector out of the hole to disconnect it. Then it was just a matter of reversing the process to attatch the new igniter.

oven woul not light
replace the oven igniter. Remove screws, couple of panels, some of the screws were stripped. hade to retap one and go oversize. plug in new igniter and re fasten. Oven worked fine .... for a week and quit. Took cover off in back of oven notice sparking in the electrical plug. When I put the plug together the first time one of the pins came out and I didnt notice It. So It made contact for a while.. Stuck a awl in the socket to make the female pin larger and put them back together. Its been working fine since.

gas oven cold
I watched the video. I unpluged the oven. Then removed the oven door as desribed in the manual. I removed all the racks and unscrewed the metal plate. Next, I took out the old igniter and clicked in the new one. Pretty easy. Watch out for the insulators that cover the clips. I broke one it is very brittle. Do not use pliers to remove.

Igniter would glow but the oven wouldn't light.
After research on my computer I determined it was the igniter. I pulled out the range unplugged the power but not the gas and removed the door, racks and bottom of the oven (2 screws). The part on your site looked and measured exactly like the igniter I had and needed to replace. I ordered it immediately. Spent a little time giving it a good cleaning since it was moved out from the wall. The part arrived the next morning! Still disconnected from the power I unscrewed the old igniter. After removing the warming drawer, I unplugged the igniter from the power source. I removed the old igniter and reversed the directions and placed the new one in. Very easy. I replaced the bottom of the oven, racks and doors. Plugged her in and she fired right up! Bonus...my oven heats up very fast now. Over the years I got used to it taking longer and longer. I am a housewife and this was a "piece of cake".
