Oven works, heats up, cooks for a while and they stops. I heard it could be the fuse, that can be damaged from a default with auto cleaning. Which fuse should i try replacing?
For model number PER5710BAW
PartSelect logo
Hello Linda, Thank you for the question. If there was a issue with a fuse the appliance would not turn on at all. It woudl not power on until the fuse was replaced. I suggest testing the Long Oven Sensor, PartSelect Number PS1570174. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. Hope this helps!

Digital clock is flashing no and off
For model number PER5710BAW
PartSelect logo
Hello Gerald, Thank you for your question. The display will flash when electrical power is first supplied to the range or if there has been a power failure. Click the clock pad to set the time and the flashing should stop, if it doesn't, you would need to replace the control board under part PS11742897 for your model to fix the issues. We hope this helps

Re: Self cleaning: There appears to be a metal shield in the glass oven window. Should the metal shield, which makes it harder to see inside the oven during cooking, retract except during cleaning, or is it permanently in place? If it is intended only during the self cleaning cycle, how can i get it to retract on my range for normal oven use?
For model number PER5710BAW

Hi Robert, Thank you for your question. We have checked your owner's manual and we do not see this metal shield referenced with the self cleaning information. You should leave the part in place. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.

The switches are saying the oven is on but there is no heat at all. We did have electric problems at the power meter outside> Power company said that is now fixed.

Hello Kevin, thank you for your question! See if other functions of the oven, such as the lights, display, or fan, are working. This will help determine if the issue is specific to the heating element, which is the bake element, part number PS11744404, in your oven. We hope this information is useful!

Hello Shelli, thank you for the question. Please check the infinite switches, part number PS11744486, and part number PS11744487. These switches control the operation of the surface burners. You can test them with a multimeter. If this does not help, please check the burners, part number PS11764915, and part number PS11764907, with a multimeter for continuity to pinpoint the fault. The element broke in two pieces after food dried on it.
First, I unplugged the oven. Then, I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. After that, I gently pulled the element toward the front of the oven until the wires were exposed. I disconnected the wires from the old element, removed the old element and then attached the wires to the new baking element. I gently pushed the new element back into the screw holes and screwed the new element in place. When I plugged the oven back into the wall I heard a pop and thought I'd blown up the oven! Turns out the breaker popped...after fixing the breaker, I turned the oven on and the element worked just fine. I highly recommend PartSelect.com for their fast shipping and great products. I will be ordering from them again for future appliance parts.

Oven not holding 350 F, when cooling the coils did not reheat
Removed the oven door by opening slightly, then pic door up to remove. Remove 2 screws holding oven sensor in place, gently pull on sensor to remove, had to remove about 8 inches to get at plastic connector. Unplug connector, had to use an adapter cable supplied with the PartSelect kit to install new sensor, push cable back into opening, reinstall 2 screws. The oven works fine! Note that due to thermal lag the temperature overshoots to 370 degrees and undershoots to 340 degrees, this appears to be normal oven operation. Putting door back in place was easy.

Right rear burner went bad
Turned the breaker off, I removed 2 screws securing the range top to the range, opened the top and secured it in the up position, Removed the 2 screws securing the element ,one at a time I swapped the quick connectors from the old element to the new and repeated the process in reverse. I save over $100.00 in labor, plus most companies get you for a trip charge. It was easy!!
