It was no big deal I just replaced the used parts with the new ones. I just needed help knowing were the white and black bearings went.I went to the web site and got the information I needed. I didnt think I would be able to find parts for a machine as old as ours. Saved us big bucks.

This is the 2nd time I replaced the drum bearing in the past 2 years on my 16 year old GE dryer. I found the parts needed by the diagram and followed the how to video which was very helpful and easy to follow. My parts came in 3 days and I hope to get another few years out of my dryer.

easy to fix took less than 10 minutes

Simply popped the old broken part out and popped the new part into place. I wasn't sure if it was the Latch Door or the Door Strike. Once the parts arrived, it was clear the Door Strike was not the issue.

Determined problem by reading other reviews. Parts came quick. Shipping confirmation contained installation video. Excellent idea. Followed installation instructions. I used care manipulating the plastic shield that protects the wiring during disconnect for front section removal. (old plastic is brittle) With front removed it's good opportunity to vacuum out everything that can't normally be reached. Installed Drum bearing and slides and reassembled front and top. Test run is quiet. Old parts were badly worn.

Open up top and front and inspect the front drum bearing before ordering. If the drum has worn through the slides it may have worn into the plastic bearing which will have to be replaced to properly hold the new slides, as mine did. Unplug the dryer!!! Remove the five screws in the back of the control panel and push it gently to the right to free it. Just let it float. This will allow the top to lift in the next step. Remove the two screws in the top of the door opening and lift the top off and set it aside. Remove the two inner screws holding the front to the sides and let the front lean out against your legs. Inspect the four slides and bearing. To replace the bearing pry out from the front's metal and lift up and out. The slides slip easily into the bearing. For renewed efficiency replace the lower felt drum seal, remove the debris from the now open air discharge at the front bottom left and polish the front riding surface and edge of the metal drum with a green scouring pad. Lift the drum up to slip over the bearing as you close the front. Replace the two inner screws. Replace the top and slip the control panel back into position. Replace the door opening and back control panel screws.

The repair was incredibly easy. The repair video that accompanied the order confirmation was dead on. The only tool that was needed was a screwdriver. The repair took only 15-20 minutes. Removing the front hood came out in two screws. Once the two interior screws were removed from under the hood the front panel came out with ease. The Front Drum bearing was removed with a little pressure to pop it out from the panel. The new slides go in very easily and the new front drum bearing popped back into the front panel and re-assembly. Success! The machine no longer made that awful squealing sound and the boss (aka wife) was happy.

Disconnect power, remove front screws. Lift off front door assembly. Removed front drum bearing(very easy). Installed new drum bearing slides x 4 on new drum bearing assembly. The slides are not include. Re-installed front drum assembly,front of dryer screws done. Works great.

Followed the video on this site but did not have to remove wires. Just stand in front and let the front panel rest on your leg while you replace the slides. Quick and Easy!!!!

I took out two screws inside the dryer door, then two more screws after pulling the top of the dryer free. After that I ran into a problem which was the drum was stuck to the dryer door. This was unexpected since I had the dryer apart a couple of times before diagnosing my problem. I couldn't get the drum free on the bottom, lost patience and pulled hard which bent the edge of the drum. I still don't know what was catching, but now my drum is bent and I'm not willing to replace the drum so a new dryer will be in order within a few months.Surprisingly after installing the new Front Bearing and the Slides, which are a breeze the dryer works pretty well. I still think the bent drum will take a toll eventually. My advise is don't get impatient and do what I did! If it's not coming apart right or going back together right take your time and Don't force it. If you do, be prepared to buy a new dryer like I'm going to have to do now.

Removed 2 screws from inside door lifted top panel up,removed 1 screw attaching front panel to left side. Pulled front panel out far enough to remove and replace slider bearing.

Took out old filter, inserted new one.New filter did not have a gasket?
