My washer will not turn on. I checked the outlet and its works just fine. The washer is probably 6-7 years old.

Hello Dwight, thank you for asking! Most of the time such a problem is caused by a faulty lid lock assembly (part number: PS11722981). A defective lid lock sends a false signal to the circuitry that the door is not closed, preventing the washer from starting. Please feel free to contact customer service if you need further assistance. Thank you.

won't start till unpluged -reboot message F4
For model number MVWB865GW1
PartSelect logo
Hi Warren, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, an F4 error indicates an issue with the water drain. You need to power the unit down by turning off the circuit breaker or unplugging it for one minute. Power the unit up by reconnecting the power. Restart a new cycle. Monitor the washer for one minute to ensure the error code does not display again. If the error code is still displayed, you may need to check the drain hose for clogging, check the drain pump, part number PS11738156, and the electric control board, part number PS12745290. We hope this helps!

Hello Kara, thank you for getting in touch. According to our understanding, we would recommend checking the power coord and user interface first. If they are fine, then the issue is most probably with the control board, part number PS12745290. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!

Scratches in Surface
This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.

Broken lid frame at left hinge.
Raised lid to remove two Torx head screws from each hinge. Lid will then lift off of hinges. Installation of new lid was the reverse of the removal procedure. It is best to install one hinge to the lid by removing that hinge from the washer. The lid can then be installed by inserting that hinge into it's spot and then over the other hinge. Install the hinge screws into the second hinge and the job is complete. The lid now closes properly allowing the automatic lid lock to function properly.
