Freezer Not Defrosting
Remove the panels that cover the evap. Coils and replaced the defrost heater and thermostst assembly. I replaced the timer before, but that did not correct the problem. Because of the amount of frost on the coils I used my wife's hair dryer to melt the frost. (It shorten the down time)

Ice maker quit
I removed contents of freezer as this was a bottom unit. I had to remove freezer drawers/door to easily access ice maker which was located in the back of unit, wasnt a problem.I did however take a hair dryer to water tube as it froze up with about an 6 inch tube of ice that finally slid down. Connected unit and had ice within an hour or so and a full tray within 24 hrs. Second ice maker in little over a year...Video very helpful, saved 100 bucks by doing myself. Part arrived fast, great job!

Ice maker leaked a little, then quit completely.
We ordered a PartSelect PS2121513 ice maker. I was concerned that there was no instructions shipped with the unit. Fortunately, PartSelect had an online video that guided me through the process. It wasn't that complex really. The only time I felt totally dumb was when using my nut driver to remove the bottom bracket. I couldn't figure out why there was no 1/4" socket with my set, so I used a small socket wrench instead. I finally figured out that the driver was already a 1/4", without a socket in it. After that it was easy. Slid the ice maker up a little to free it from the top mounting screws. Pulled it outward a bit to gain access to the connector at the back of the freezer, then squeezed the two sides of the connector and out it came. I popped the plastic cover off the existing device and then removed the connector as instructed in the video. I also removed the bale (as per the video). I put the connector harness, plastic cover and bale on the new ice maker and put it back in, this time using the nut driver on the bottom bracket :-). My only concern after that was that it didn't seem to be working. I had no idea that it needed some time to get cold before it would work. After about an hour, it filled with water and began making ice. Success.

Refridgerator warm, and freezer coils frozen
Initially I had replaced teh DEFROST HEATER & THERMOSTAT ASSEMBLY. It was deformed. Then after that did not work I noticed that if you click on the part, there customer stories with symptoms and installation videos. The vidieos are very detailed. The Defrost heater I knew where it was because I had been defrosting my freezer manually for for a long time. I thought my kids where leaving the door open. To get to it you have to unload the freezer and pull the back panels off.Once defrosted, just remove and reroute the new heater. The ADAPTIVE DEFROST BOARD took about 30 minutes. Follow the video, Nut driver and the part. I have spent about $130 dollars and solved my problem. I work in the field service, have been in the military, this has to be one of the most detailed service sites I have ever used. Wish the automtive industry had one. Also would like to see Samsung front load washer and dryers on this site. GREAT SITE, a kid could install if not trouble shoot a problem with this site.

Lost lower hinge pins while moving refrigerator to another house--Couldn't mount the doors back on without them!
Very easy once we had the pins! The amazing part was how fast we obtained them, how easy the ordering process was, and how vast and easy the selection process. Entering the model number took us right to a diagram of what we needed! The placement of the pins was almost self explanatory by the shape and size, but the diagram would have been very helpful had we needed it. My son replaced the lost pins, re-mounted the doors, and re-connected the water supply in the door in under 15 minutes. Everything works perfectly!

Ice Bin Drive Ring replacement
Easy repair - Don't over complicate it. 1) Flip up ice bar to stop making new ice. 2) Pull out the complete ice bin/tray. 3) shut freezer door while you work on the ice bin. 4) All you need to do is remove the 4 screws holding the ice bin holding tray to the front of the Ice cutting section in the front. 5) Screw drive can then be pulled forward to remove the old/broken white drive cap. Just replace the White Drive ring, put the drive screw back into the ice bin tray and re-install the 4 screws. 6) When re-inserting the bin, you may have to twist the screw drive slightly to re-align with the motor bracket in the back of the freezer. Suggestion: throw out old ice because if it is wet or slightly melted, when you put it back in the freezer the ice will freeze/clump together into a large ice clump; not cubes. Also dry out the ice bin so there is no water to freeze up or create a new jam when the ice bin now re-freezes.
