our microwave isn't heating up water (or anything) but everything else is working correctly it seems - lights, glass table turns, clock works, controller appears to be working, yada yada yada... ;-)
help!
this is a Maytag and i'd like to fix it and your site said it was a 95% chance it was a Part Number: PS11747959 or a 25% chance of being a capacitor.

If your microwave is not heating, the most likely culprits are the diode, part number PS11747959, the magnetron, part number PS11742817, and the capacitor, part number PS11743000. After shopping all over town trying to find a new tray I discovered PartSelect.com, I called and ordered the tray and received it the next afternoon. It couldn't have gone smoother.
The nightmare was that this microwave is installed under the cabinet....in order to get to the light bulb I had to pull out my stove then squeeze into the space between the stove and counter....my old microwave light bult was much easier to change.....Shame on Whirlpool for making this so difficult.....must be a better way to cover the li
