MFI2568AES Maytag Refrigerator - Instructions

I snapped the cover plate to the filter open. Pulled the filter down and twisted counter clock wise to take filter out. I installed the new filter in by inserting the filter and tuning clock wise to secure the filter. I flushed the water for about two minutes and then allowed it to be put back into service.

My son in law was able to take off the defective end pieces, and replace them with the new ones, in about 20 minutes. 10 minutes were probably spent in finding the right tools.Very easy to do. Parts were received within 2 days of ordering (I placed order on a Sunday).I was able to find the parts right away on your inter net lay out.

I first change the board behind the touch pad on front of ref. That controls switching from ice to water and temps. Problem ended up being the actual touch screen itself. Part select was great helping with parts and return first part and shipped touch screen out asap.

followed instructions step by step, everything went right in place and works perfectly. I could do it again inless time now that I seen what I was doing wrong on the back piece. (hope I don't have to) Thanks for asking.

Was little difficult to push in the new one, used a little force,

unscrewed old part, threaded temp control arm, screwed in new part

Pried out the old switch with small screwdriver, popped in the new one and tah-dah!! ..the light came on. While I was at it, I cleaned out the freezer :). I cannot begin to imagine what a repairman would have charged for this.

I did not do the repair my husband did but it only took him 20 minutes and it was done. I am especially thrilled with the fact that the part came the very next day without paying for extra postage. Thank you for your quick response. In fact I ordered a filter for the same fridge the same day from a different parts place and it still has not arrived and its been more than 10 days. Guess who gets my business in the future for appliance repairs.

Parts arrived in less than 2 days. Installation was easy. The only tricky part was removing the Temperature/Humidity control from the old part. A little "bending" of the plastic is necessary to remove the slide mechanism. After that, it was quite easy.

Took off (by removing sockets)each side of existing pantry end caps and put new ones on Should have taken picture of the right side as it was a little problem getting everything back together. Paid $200.50 to have it done the first time it broke. Basically saved $200 doing it ourselves.

Same way I repaired it before.

I removed the upper crisper drawers. I then removed the bottom crisper drawer. I then removed plate glass covering that covered the bottom crisper drawer. I removed the plate glass frame in order to be able to get to the 3 screws holding right hand rail. I removed the 3 screws with nut driver to remove rail. I detached the humidity control linkage and linkage cover from right hand rail. I reinstall every thing in reverse of how I had just taken things apart when installing new right hand rail. There was a lot of good information on how to replace rails that came with rail order. also there was a lot of good information on iste where part was ordered from. THANKS

My husband and I purchased a used refrigerator from a friend who is moving into a new home. Some interior parts were missing but it was very easy to find replacement parts from Parts Select. Everything arrived in good shape and shipping was really quick. The refrigerator is now as good as new.

My husband removed the crisper storage drawers and the shelf then removed the pantry drawer. The broken end cap was very easy to remove, just remove two screws and the new one was installed. Simple and my husband really enjoyed saving $2400! That was what a new one would have cost if he could not have replaced the part!
