Lower unit heating element burned out.
Extremely easy replacement. Followed the instructions and suggestions from previous users which was emphasized about turning off electricity. Main difficulty was that we are not young people, had to reach on knees and stretch to back of oven. Put hot pads under knees for comfort !!!!!!

Long Oven Sensor failure - oven over heated & shut down
Parts package contained no instructions. Found all instructions on internet. I used Phillips head to remove two screws on anchor plate of Long Oven Sensor. Located at upper left, back corner of oven; access to screws is not simple/easy. Screws back out w/o difficulty. Pull/extract sensor harness through hole[back of oven] which required pushing aside insulation. The harness barely fits thru hole in oven back metal wall; I recommend using needle nose pliers ( which I ended up doing ) for ease of extraction. Disconnect harness plastic interlok clips. Perfect reconnection of new clip harness with ease. Reverse procedure to complete installation/repair. Done in just over 35 minutes due to wrestling with harness extraction through minimal hole opening. Failure occurred on Thanksgiving Day with 22lbs turkey in oven. Top of turkey contacted sensor tip which eventually caused sensor fault; result was scorched upper breast and oven shut down [safety by design]. Cook top was still operative; clock and all readings on digital control panel ceased. With new 'long oven sensor' installed - good as new. Will be sure to buy turkey(s) under 20lbs in future. Element in oven would not adjust to the oven temperature.
I ordered the temperature sensor after watching the video and seeing how easily it could be changed out. Unfortunately, they don't tell you that it may be necessary to access the part from the back. When I tried removing the sensor from inside the oven the connection separated before getting to the hole. I tried for 4 days to try to fish out the other end. Finally, I had my brother help me remove the oven from the wall and take the back off at which time we were able to connect the new sensory. It turns out that the wiring is on the upper right hand corner of the oven and the sensor is on the upper left hand corner and the wiring is rather short. I am a 64 year old female and do the majority of repairs around the house myself, but due to the weight of removing the oven I enlisted the help of my brother. After removing from the wall the rest was a breeze. Just wish the videos or written info on the website was a little more clear as to the different ways of accessing the damaged part.

Broiler had broken into several pieces
My wife came to me distraught one day and notified me that the upper broiler element in our oven had caught fire and melted into pieces. Like I really needed one more thing on my "honey do-list".... I thought about just replacing the entire oven, but even at 10 years of age, it looked great and had performed like a champ up until then. After a little research on the web (you tube videos and such) and your easy to follow partselect.com site, I ordered a replacement part at a very reasonable price. The replacement part arrived within a couple of days. A screwdriver, flashlight, and fifteen minutes later...WALAAA!!! My wife was full of praise and appreciation before making me my favorite dish in the oven that night!! Thank you Partselect.....

Broil element shorted out on metal support bracket.
I unplugged oven, then I unscrewed both screws that held support bracket on, removed support bracket. Unscrewed the screws on each side of element, slowly pulled element forward until push on terminals were exposed. Put twist ties on each terminal wire, to keep wires from falling back into holes when they are removed from the element. Removed each push on terminal from bad element, re-installed them on new element, removed twist ties, eased element and push on terminals back into each hole, installed (tightened) screws that hold element on, re-installed metal support bracket and tightened screws that hold it on. Plugged oven in and tested element, all good.

The lower oven element blew out
After checking with the local appliance store I learned they wanted about $50 for the element and $65 for the service call plus labor I decided to check the internet for other options. I found the part on your web site for $37 with no shipping charges added. I had found other sites with a lower price but was not satisfied the part was going to be new. To my surprise it arrived in 2 days. I had checked the instruction on how to replace it and with only a screw drive and flashlight it was fixed and tested in 15 minutes. I am mechanically inclined, so that helped as I have done simple fixes on other appliances before.

Element in lower oven broken in two
We followed the directions on the video on PartSelect.com. first we turned off the electricity to the oven. Then we removed the oven racks. Then we unscrewed the element from the back of the range, and unhooked the two wires leading into the element, making sure that the wires were long enough not to 'disappear' back into the insulation. Then we took the new element, plugged in the two wires, screwed it back in to the back wall, and that was it! Done. We then turned the electricity back on and turned the oven on to be sure the element was working properly. It was - and we are happy. VERY EASY job with fantastic directions on the online video. Thank you very much!

My burner on indicator light had stopped working
I ordered both the light bulb and the switch that controls it. I had not pulled the stove out because the ones I bought this house from did not level the floor which meant I had to wait on a socket set to arrive in order to be able to pull my stove away from the wall. Once I got the socket set and the stove out I removed the panel on the back. I saw then that my red light bulb had shattered in half forcing the switch to just hang free. Glad I had ordered both parts, removed the old, replaced new with ease... then it was a matter of sliding the panel back in place without the main control panel getting misaligned, few trial and error checks and it went back with ease. New light works! Very easy.. probably less time if your floor is level.. then I had to play with the little legs to get it even again. For now it is ok until the spring where I go to redo the floor and make it all LEVEL! Very easy! Hope it doesn't burn out again but if it does I know what to do! Maytag rep wanted to charge me $100... No thanks!

Lower bake element quit working.
Removed the oven door (very simple) removed oven racks. Using an ordinary phillips screwdriver removed the two(2) metal screws holding the element. Carefully pulled the element out far enough to disattach the two flat bladed electrical wires, being careful not to let the wires fall back inside the oven wall.Install the new element in the exact reverse order. Even if the two wires should slip back inside the oven wall it would be a simple matter to remove the 6 metal screws holding the rear cover of the range to retrieve the wires.... All told it was a very simple and quick repair job. Best of all there was no repair man fee.

Small Surface Burner Was not Working
Repair video was very helpful. I have removed the screws on both sides of the appliance under the surface plate, in the front. The Owen door has to be open for that. Then I have pulled the surface plate for a little space to disconnect the two connectors. Turned the surface plate over on the kitchen table, removed the 6 screws. Turned the burners assembly over and removed the small burner by disengaging the two clips. I have removed the 2 clops from the burned burner and assembled it to the new burner. I have placed the burner and engaged the 2 clips with a crownose players. I have removed one electrical connecter at a time and connected to the new burner. I have turned over the assembly over the glass plate and assembled the back cover with 6 screws. Put the surface plate on the range and connected the 2 connectors, pushed back, lined it up with the 2 screw holes in front of the range on bot sides and put the 2 screws in and Finished.

during automatic cleaning, top unit blew up
The difficult part is finding and training the right husband. First, he must be handy and second willing to work on 'honey do' projects. Praise the Lord, I have such a husband. He went on line, found the part needed, ordered it and when it was delivered, fixed the oven. You see he loves his cornbread and muffins, so it was to his advantage to fix it.
