my cook top hot light stays on even after it cooled for hours
For model number MER6600FZ2
Hi Bruce, thank you for the question. According to our research, the contacts in one of your burner switches are stuck closed. Now, this is not a functional problem, but the light will stay on all the time so you will not have a reminder anymore if you accidentally leave one of your burners on. If you want to fix the issue, you will need to take the cooktop apart and flip the breaker off to the unit. Then unplug all the wires to one of the burner switches (the part that the knobs slide onto) and then re-apply power. If the light goes out, that is the burner switch you need to replace. If the light stays on, flip the breaker off again and reconnect all the wires to that switch. Try the next switch until you find the switch causing the problem, then replace that switch. We hope this solves your problem!

Aluminum on door is pulling away from oven front. Only had stove 2 years.
For model number MER6600FZ2
Hello Susan, thank you for the question. We have researched and found that the issue is with the outer door glass. The oven door glass comes with an outer aluminum frame. We recommend you to tighten the screws. If you are still facing the issue, you may need to replace the outer door glass, part number PS12579027. We hope this solves your problem!

oven and broiler no heat. controls operate normally. I am suspecting the temp sensor?
Any comment?
For model number MER6600FZ2
Hello Ken, thank you for contacting us. According to our understanding, we would recommend checking the broil element first for continuity. If it is fine, then the issue is most probably with the temperature sensor, part number PS11749737. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!

temperature not accurate after 3 1/2 years of happy usage

Burner would go high without warning
We felt the only possible problem could be the switch assembly. I removed the switch panel, removed the wires from the old switch, one at a time, removed the old switch assembly and installed the new switch assembly. The extended stem did have to be snapped off (per your instructions) and that too was a very simple task.
