Do you have any written instructions (&diagrams) how to install dryer door handle, part no ps11731583?
For model number MEDC415EW1
Hello Dianne, Thank you for your inquiry. The handle should simply snap into place on the door. To replace the dryer door handle open the door and use a Philips head screwdriver to unthread the two screws securing the inner and outer door panels. Carefully separate the panels and pull the handle retaining tabs up to release the old handle if still intact. Install the new door handle by inserting it into the panel and snapping it into place. Re-attach the inner and outer door panels together and replace the screws. We hope this helps and if you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

Once the start switch is pushed, the dryer will turn on, but it will not remain on. If I place something against the starter switch, the dryer will continue to run.

You can check the heating element wi

Don't hurry to dispose the old element. My model includes a small electric safety part. You'll need to transfer it to the new heating element (that comes without it)..
First tried heating element and thermal fuse with no luck. Ordered thermal cutoff and fixed problem. Had I used an ohm meter first I would have determined problem before having ordered heating element and fuse, as both had resistance.
