The docking stations just pulled of and snapped on. I took the tube in the back out to make sure the docking stations were seated well but I'm not even sure that was needed. Very easy. Another contributing factor was using rinse aid with an all-in-one gel pack detergent. I let the rinse aid run out and it's been working great ever since.

After installing a new filter, :( I tried this. I wish I would have done this first since it's way cheaper and easier!!! If your dishwasher slowly starts to decline in its ability to clean the dishes, it's probably this problem.

The old silverware basket started cracking and coming apart after 5 years or so.

I opened the door of the dishwasher, pulled out the old silverware basket, and then placed the new silverware basket where the old one was. The whole time, I was imagining how much it would be to call up and appliance repair guy and have him do this.

When the Cycle was finished the power light stayed lit. Broken Door Handle

  • Customer: Thomas from Richardson TX
  • Difficulty: Really easy
  • Time to Complete: 15 - 30 mins
  • Tools Required: Screw drivers

Wasn't able to disconnect the dishwasher directly so I turned off the power to the kitchen from the circuit breaker box. Used my cordless drill and the correct size star bit to remove the screws holding the inside door panel - lickety split. The screws around the door latch when removed also held the switch in place. Removed the two wire connections using needle nose pliers taking care not to damage the connections. Connected the new latch assembly - put it in place making sure the release handle was thru the door. Re-installed the door panel beginning with the screws holding the latch. Closed the door, turned on the electricity and tested the switch. Everything was operating. Spent some time with my wife explaining the touch required to open the dishwasher so we wouldn't have to repeat the repair in the near future.
