Repair was simple. I removed the screws holding the door liner in place and pulled-off the electrical connectors on the old handle. Then I connected the connectors to the new handle and put the screws back in.

Turned off the power to the dishwasher. Removed approximately eight screws to remove the plastic inner door cover to access the door handle assembly. (two of the top screws held the door handle assembly in place) I removed two electrical plugs, removed the old door latch and replaced with the new one, plugged the two electrical plugs onto the new latch assembly, placed it into the top of the inside door, replaced the plastic inner door cover, replaced the screws, turned the power on, loaded the dishwasher and did a load of dishes. Super easy.

Mounting Bracket and Door Handle broke

  • Customer: Hillary from Minden NV

  • Time to Complete: 30 - 60 mins
  • Tools Required: Screw drivers

To replace the Door Handle, I had to remove the inside of the door with the 12ish Torx scres. It was a slide out slide in thing. To replace the brackets, I detached hoses, electricity and slid the DW out. More torx screws to come out, the three on top and the two on the sides allowed for me to bend down the white plastic tub away from the Aluminum square channel holding in the top mounting brackets.

Dishwasher left residual water at end of cycle.

Very straight forward repair. Parts Select provided the right part with very timely (regular FedEx)delivery. Repairclinic.com provided excellent video to show basic repair steps. Suggest using a "star" tip screw driver to disassemble interior parts of the machine to clean out years of gunk which will reduce the chance that the drive motor will bind/fail (which mine did and which saved me the cost of a new motor or new dishwasher). Upon reassembly, be sure to check water supply copper compression fittings for leaks that moving the machine can cause. Place pads under "feet" of machine to avoid marring wood floor when moving machine.
