Replaced Door Latch
I opend the door and viewed how the latch was positioned and secured. All the SM screws along the door seal had to be removed. This unsecured the inside door skin and revealed the old latch. No additional fasteners needed to be removed.

Wires were secured with a snap-on type pole system. It took some strength to pull them off. However, I was sure to place each on the same pole of the new latch.

The new latch went into its place and was auto-centered correctly on the door fixture designed for the part. Skin was resecured ... good to go!

Maytag Dishwasher Handle Broke
I shut off the power to the unit, then removed the torque screws (be sure to remember which screw went in each hole -- the screws are different lengths).

I unplugged the two electrical connections from the broken handle, then re-plugged them into the new handle. I put the two pieces together, then re-inserted the screws, turned on the power, then done. Pretty easy!

The handle broke
Very simple repair. removed the torx head screws around the perimeter of the door's inside cover. Pulled (with some effort) the connectors off the old handle. connected them to the new one and re-installed the screws. As the screws are mounted in plastic and sheet metal take care not to over-torque them.

Door handle broke and was hard to open
It was so easy to install. It came with the handle and switches already put together for me. I removed about
ten T-20 Torx screws from the inside cover to expose the handle mechanism. When you remove these screws it also releases the handle assembly. The hard part if you want to call it that, was removing the wires off the old switch assemblies. A small screw drive works fine to pry them off. Re-connect the two wires and install the cover and your done. I did a lot of checking and PartSelect.com had the best price anywere.

the small plastic part that turns the dishwasher off and on when the door is shut was worn out. It was really easy to change out. I unplugged the power cord and removed the black and white wires. Put in the new switch and it was ready.
