WORN OUT BROKEN DOOR LATCH

I would like to say first of all that i was amaized and pleased at how simple the ordering of this part was and while looking at the parts diagram on you website i noticed the door swing was optional and could be easily changed and the dryer came from the factory with a latch installed on both sides of the door. In our laundry room the dryer sits to the left of the washer and the door to the dryer opened to the right which has always been a slight inconvenience... so instead of changing out the broken part, i took the door and hinge off with my cordless screwdriver (6-8 screws) and turned it around and remounted it on the opposite side... SIMPLE! I never took the new part out of the UPS envelope. Now i have a spare so i taped the new part in the envelope to the back of the dryer in case i ever need it and now we have more convenience with the door swinging the correct way. Sweet deal! took less than an hour. Thank you for making this task simple. Chuck G.

I researched the issue, found a video and ordered the belt, which came in 2 days. It was inexpensive, and I had my dryer back and running in less than 3 days. I did get my son to help me as it might not be that easy with just 1 person (to hold the drum in place while putting the front back on). Great service and great information on how to do the repair.

I loved the demo video on how to do the repair-it was very helpful. My dryer was different than the one on the video, and I had to make adjustments ( I had self tightening screws on the top and bottom of the front panel and then I stripped the screws)I did this by myself and I had to prop up the drum AND the front panel with items in laundry room.) That's why it took me longer than demo (also had to run to hardware store to get screws). Felt great to accomplish this by myself. Thanks!

I unplugged the dryer then loosened the screws on the top and inside front, took the front off, I didn't need to unplugged the socket wiring attached to the door. Removed the drum (it came right off) wrapped the new belt around the drum, fed the belt through the tension flange and looped it over the pulley. Then rotated the drum a few times by hand to line everything up then put everything back together. It works fine now.

I came home from work to notice the dryer singing a different tune than usual. I opened the door and noticed that the tub wasnt turning. I popped the top of the dryer up to find a disentigrated belt. Fired up the computer and in a few minutes had ordered the $8 ($15 including shipping) replacement belt. 3 days later took the shopvac and cleaned up the lint and broken belt pieces. Installed the new belt and was back in business with my 8 year old dryer. ** The only complaint comes from my wife who got her hopes up for a new front load washer and dryer** Thanks PartSelect for saving my wallet in more than one way!

removed the cover over the blower wheel. Released the clamp and retaining ring. put the new blower wheel back on the axle with the slot so it couldn't rotate on its own. Reset the clamp and rings, put the cover back on the blower and put the face of the dryer back on and rehooked the vent hose and electric and was back in business. Took about 20 minutes with the new parts
